hello peeps, I've just made an absolutely delicious broccli soup and, added bonus: pain free to eat :j .
175g potato & 1 medium onion roughly chopped; 450g broccli (include stalks);850 ml chicken stock. Salt & pepper. Simmer for 20mins then blend. Serves 6. Grate 30g half fat mature cheddar on each portion (no victory, you can't skip that or it loses its scrumptiousness :rotfl: ). Free on green day SW if use cheese as HEa. 3x chicken oxo cubes works out at 0.25 syns per portion.
Think I'll be making more soup as it's so easy to eat and filling :T .
Just had PM from just married - she's having real logging on probs her end so hasn't been around much and is missing us all a lot. Sends love to all.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
well done efrieze ,poohbear and brighton belle:j :j :j
I give up, there I have said it, I GIVE UP:D feeling very fed up with being hungry so am giving up and having a 'proper meal' this evening, I just don't want to keep masking my hunger with hot bovril so it is all out this evening meal, yes I know I could have an apple or a banana to tide me over but I don't want one, I want some my stomach is full, I cannot eat another thing for a change feeling and so food is on for this evening and no I don't feel guilt, infact I could not care less, I just want some proper food:D if I have to pay the price so be it, I want some food;)0 -

so you know that I would do that then:rotfl: :rotfl: yes I would, I am forever scanning recipes to see what I can leave out and spoil each and every one of them and throw them out, dogs would not like half of what I make:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -

Vic....You're maintaining!! please eat!!! a proper dinner is not going to make you five stones heavier!! (just don't eat 10 proper dinners in one sitting). Eat what you want just get your OH to check your portion size...(if you're worried about it)...go on...I dare you have bangers and mash with some nice bisto gravy...
Tell you what....If you're game I'll challenge you in the new year...I'll stick religiously to the SW for a week if you cook and eat proper meals for a week....I don't mean going back to triple bacon sandwiches with a treble order of double deckers...jus nice sensible meals with some nice stuff...nice tasty food...It can still be healthy without being designed for dieting!!
btw...I got my job!! now if any of you teacher types have any advice regarding confidence and keeping the attention of about 40-50 18yr olds...I'm all ears....0 -
well done seren:beer: :j :j
challenge on, I know what you mean, I am just rebelling, being very childish because the docs keep telling me what I can and cannot eat, when I can drink (because of the tablets they are saying I am not allowed any alcohol until xmas day itself, not that I drink anyway so it is silly getting bothered by it:D ) my mother coming, my teenage son going on and on about his x box that we cannot afford, being hungry all the time and masking it with another hot lemon, xmas money stress and will it be alright on the day stress (who cares it is only the 4 of us and so long as the kids get loads they don't care if they eat a sandwich for their dinner, worrying if H is just being nice or would he have prefered me to bake all the usual stuff I bake him for xmas and will he miss it, he says no of course not, all the xmas foods around me at work and me saying 'no thank you' the other day they started tucking in and did not ask me and it really bothered me, childish again, utterly daft because I would have said no anyway but would like to be asked:rotfl: :rotfl:
Childish, childish, childish that is me I know and I am going to continue to be all night long, to hell with all of them, tonight it is me me and thrice me, might even extend my bath to an hour rather than the dashed 10 mins I usually have time for:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
By the way, it is not bistro gravy, oh no 1/2 point WW all purpose gravy, I can't be going that mad ha ha ha xx0 -
victory, I hope you really enjoy your meal! You've worked so hard to achieve your goal, you've displayed the kind of iron self control I can only dream of - 1 meal won't be the end of the world. Now go and have a SOAK - not a rushed bath, but a proper soak, the kind where you lose track of time because you are speculating whether you would have more fun with richard hammond in a ferrari or with the doctor in the tardis. ooooh, or what if you could have both? That's another half hour of musing right there! If you don't need to top the hot water up you haven't been in there long enough. Might be worth doing the day your mother arrives too.
Seren, I'm thinking some knee high boots and a low cut top. that'll get their attention. And congrats!
I'm just back from works Christmas lunch. All us underlings have come back and the bosses have stayed in the pub with the company credit cards. So an afternoon of MSE for me! Stayed good and had melon as a starter, and didn't have sticky toffee pudding as a dessert. YOu may notice i haven't said what i DID have for dessert but I'm focussibng on the fact that i didn't have sticky toffee pudding.
eep. Hope it is Delly I'm poking. Could be embarrassing if I'm not. I've found out all my friends real names from Facebook which has been bizarre. How can you know someone for 4 years and not know their actual name?0 -

Sounds lovely BB - think I will have to try that one.
Victory, I agree with the others. You have done the hard work and lost the weight - now you have to adjust to STOPPING losing which means upping the calorie intake again (albeit sensibly). Stop letting the calories rule your whole life and enjoy your meal.
Love Katyk
PS anyone know any good slimming recipesfor orange sorbet? would like to make some for over xmas and freeze in the hollowed out orange peels0 -

No need to feel bad about doing/not doing the chart petrichor: I haven't got tired of it yet and there are others who would be quite happy to do it: it's like the photos: no pressure.
As for my jaw - well the clue's in the 'pain free soup' for lunch:D . It's bad so eating is limited. It's as well the painkillers have dissed my appetite or I'd be in trouble:D . fortunately it's only one hinge that's gone. If it were both I'm not sure I'd be able to even talk (MMmmm Mr BB lit up like a Xmas tree when I mentioned that...)
Seren -that's fab re the job. kpc beat me to it with the outfit suggestion, though I was thinking the French maid look. I am not a teacher...
Victory: you have done very well this year and I know you are really scared of one indiscretion and the whole lot going to pot, but maybe your inner child needs to come out and be heard! Stamp that foot and enjoy a good meal and a long bath. And perhaps use the suggestion re OH helping you with portion control (unless you are fed up with anyone telling you what to do). If you don't let you inner child have a hissy fit every so often, she'll implode and believe me, reindeer guts will have nothing on that sight. And maybe your OH is just being kind about the Xmas food - luxuriate in having an OH who is that kind I say. He cares more about you than his stomach:T .
bb
PS kpc the answer's the Dr in the Tardis:D . And well done re the sticky toff pud.:A Rome wasn't built in a day but that's a nice start to a floor mosaicI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
efrieze - I've found you. As for everyone else, I haven't been getting any pokes so you must be poking someone else. Maybe my privacy settings are too high. I'll take them down a level and see if you can still not find me.
KPC - I really like your thinking re: Richard Hammond v's the Doctor. I have to say, both, in the tardis cos you can go anywhere and anywhen! How cool is that?Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0
