Morning peeps:D to anyone out there that is struggling with the tins of sweets/biscuits/festive fare please remember that a little does you good:D if you can or want to limit how many sweets etc you have per day, try to count it into your daily allowance point wise or calorie wise if you want to, if not to hell with it:D like suggs says a few bad days is not going to ruin a months work;)

I have my xmas day and boxing day buffet planned to a tee so know how much, bought a whole lot less, there are not even any cheeses in the house this year:D there are crackers and WW salmon pate which I love, the satsumas are being eaten like they are going out of fashion and there are no nuts, crisps or nibbles in sight and no one has complained, infact my eldest son keeps saying how lovely it is to eat the satsumas:D

The trick this year was to buy less, have less, enjoy what we do have, save the money from the food, go to the sales and buy some lovely more clothes:D crumbs we did used to spend a tidy sum on food, just to increase our waist line:rotfl: :rotfl:

Keep strong if you want to there are plenty of alternatives to the sugar laden stuff, enjoy if you want to and really enjoy it without the guilt:D remember whatever you do, enjoy yourself, have fun, enjoy being with each other your family and the merriest of xmas to each and every one of you...

    Tomorrow is another day;)

  • Hell lovely folk :santa2:

Sorry to read about your Roses Bails I have 4 tins of sweets in the house, and I'm trying my best Suggs but I am partial to Heroes, this is the first year for ages that I didn't have a Heroes chocolate advent calendar, BTW I am getting quite disgusted by the photos that you're posting angels125tm2.gifI shall only look at any more that you [STRIKE]hopefully [/STRIKE]post purely out of a moral interest to see if I should think about complaining ;) :rotfl: ...

...I told MrP that I was only worth $4,350 dead, and he said "No your not, you're worth a lot more"  Should I be worried???? :rotfl: ...

Can I come to your house Pet? I love gammon.

My house smells of shortbread and mincemeat at the moment - smells lovely. There is one girl who works beside my OH and it is her birthday tomorrow so hubby has asked if I would make her a birthday cake from the "boys" at work. I have a madeira cake in the oven at the moment (which I shall ice later on) but having never actually made one before I don't know how it will turn out so I decided to also do the shortbread mincemeat slices (as I know they all like them) just in case the madeira is a disaster.

Why does Christmas always smell so tasty??

It's a horrible plan by the Christmas sabotage pixies (no relation to Santa's elves) to make us eat more  . Evidently the sense of smell is the most powerful sense that there is, the last one you lose when you are unconscious (No I don't know if it's actually true but I've been TOLD) and that's why supermarkets puff out fressh bread baking smells etc.

I've given in .... I just went shopping and have bought chocolate brownies, chocolate cookies (one gone already), chocolate croissants. :o Are you detecting a theme here?

Pet you have a real skill for throwing snow. Could you come to Harrow on the 25th and throw some past the windows here?

Beanie don't be mean, you'll probably get snow anyway in Scotland. I NEED her here.
  • afternoons peeps.
Suggs - really sorry I missed your 3lb loss of the chart. Anal admin stationary lovin woman that I am I have forcibly resisted going back through every post over the previous week to prove it isn't there becasue I know it must be!:o
Honestly, fairly hopeless this week. Will alter chart for Jan.
A message for you Suggs from your Secret Santa sender: you will be needing 2x AA bateries for your pressie:D .
Any concensus when we open them tomorow (:j :j ) peeps? I think probably everyone has differnt constraints on their timetable so shall we say open them anytime you like on Xmas eve? That means 00.01 for you Anic:rotfl: . All parcels were sent by 19th, so hopefully anyone who hasn't received will do tomorrow.

I feel for you folks caught with too much temptation food wise and trying to get the balance right. I actually have the opposite problem. As the arthritus has affected one jaw joint, I am struggling to eat even a basic number of calories and am losing weight fast :o . I don't see this as good, as when normal service is resumed I'll put it all back on and more I should think. Facination with soups is wearing a bit thin. Trouble is, it's too dificult to stand for a lot of the day and the pain killers have removed my appetite so it is easy not to bother with food at all. Mr BB is being wonderful except when it comes to food planning/prep he's like a rabbit in headlights. .
Still, just managed to force some srambled eggs between my lips. I look like someone who has over dosed on a Paul McKenna CD and is taking the eating slowly to extremes. I have never 'nibbled' a banana to death in my life.

PS love the snow pet xx
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Hairspray very good and I think MrsSuggs enjoyed it too. I forgot to say she now has my cough, so we stocked up on boiled sweets to suck on, Just in case, :rotfl:
