Green Supplier Ltd switch to Shell Energy

To add to my last post in reply to TC56 we have no gas in the flat and relied on storage heaters, we replaced the old heaters with smart storage heaters with convectors in them , really expensive to purchase, but found it cheaper to use the convectors during the day when we needed the heat instead of at night when we didn’t, hence the change to single tariff and the saving.
in this area our unit price is 29p kw and standing charge 41 per day.0 -
So another shell energy bill. Another totally incorrect bill. For some reason shell have refunded me two sums and then rebilled me for the exact same energy again. But they have yet again totally ignored the £503.20 they have billed me Incorrectly for a gas meter removed before shell inherited my account. They have acknowledged it's their error on many occasions but it's never refunded. They seem to be reluctant to generate new bills even though they admit there is an error . Instead I guess I'll be forced to wait for my next scheduled bill on may 12th though it will be may 15th before I can open it as PDFs aren't accessible until 3 days after bill is generated for some obscure reason
I've been with symbio they were dreadful but at least they generated a new bill when You pointed out errors to them. Shell simply aren't interested
What can I do about this ?? I'm at a dead end. Meanwhile my account shows a deficit of £605.08 when in fact I'm only £102.78 in debt. I'll happily settle the debt once my bills are corrected0 -
If I recall correctly, Green customers were being switched to Shell Flexible 6. I’m trying to find what the prices changed to on 1 April but cannot see Flexible 6 in the tariff list on Shell’s website. There is a tariff just called Flexible and is for the London region so might be the correct one, it has 7.918 unit rate and 32.03 sc for gas direct debit…..anyone confirm this is what the Flexible 6 moved in to on 1 April? Thx0

@tg99 you should now be on Flexible 7. My new tariff is:
Electricity: 28.46p/kWh and 43.39p/day
Gas: 7.48p/kWh and 27.22p/day

@Tafrock - I suggest raising a complaint through Resolver on the MSE website. Shell respond within a couple of days when you do this as they can’t ignore it.

Couple of qu:
1. For those with Shell, did Shell let you know in advance of the Flexible 6 price increase from 1 April?2. Is Shell legally obliged to inform customers of price rises in advance when it comes to variable price cap tariffs or does this only apply to when fixed rate contracts are coming to an end?
thanks0 -
It’s not a change to the Flexible 6 tariff, it’s a whole new tariff called Flexible 7. Not sure if they need to inform you but they would mad not to because you could quickly go into debt with size of increase. I was notified early March of the change. Having said that, my meters are still showing the old tariff.1

@thevideoguy yesterday I gave them 7 days notice that unless it is resolved totally by next Tuesday I shall indeed be escalating to a complaint via resolver . Apparantly a manager is now trying to push it through. However I anticipate that complaint process will commence next Tuesday. They just do not pass info from department to department and keep issuing stalling statements0

@Tafrock I am getting delays through Resolver too, but it then prompts to escalate at defined periods. My next escalation is to customer service manager then, if not resolved, to Ofgem. Apparently if you have a meter problem they have to work to a set timetable or pay statutory compensation, so say Citizens Advice. I claimed this as part of my complaint. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/energy/energy-supply/your-energy-meter/find-out-if-your-energy-meter-is-faulty/0
