This is like being told you have to have an electric car but we’re not going to tell you how much it will cost.
this has been over six weeks now and I’m really worried about this.
I know they are busy but they must know how much they charge.Shell publish all their tariffs here:This includes old and current though. They have said you were being moved on to their 'Flexible 6' tariff, but as far as I can see, that is not listed as having E7 ...

It will be the cap price, same as every other supplier. The cap prices were published long ago.

The cap prices were published long ago.The prices for kWh and standing charge will be within the cap, but the cap does not precisely define what they will be, only what the total bill can be for a typical consumer. You can make a pretty good guess though, just can't be precise, but no reason why Shell don't say what their pricing is for E7, it is clear enough for single rate tariff customers...

Thanks to all of you who replied. It is the E7 tariff I’m trying to find out about. Shell has told me that’s what it will be but won’t tell me how much.
we have a one bedroomed flat with only an electricity supply, no gas, hence the economy 7 for storage heaters. They are incredibly expensive but we have no choice. I was paying £114 a month with green, I can’t imagine what it will be with shell.1 -

Hi MWT , my annual usage is approx 7000kw p.a. And we are on the Southeast coast of Kent.
we use about 40/60 night to day rate. I usually work out my electricity cost weekly but with no tariff prices this is difficult, if you can help I would be very grateful, thank you.0 -
Assuming that you are not in debt at the moment and your payments only have to cover your current usage then the annual total is likely to be around £1483, which works out to be around £123.59 per month. This also assumes that you pay by monthly DD.If you wanted to do your own calculations, use £0.2412 for the standing charge, and £0.23 for day. £0.154 for night. Those will not be spot on, but not far off as your usage split is very close to the one Ofgem use for the cap (58/42 day/night)2

Thankyou MWT. That’s not as scary as I thought it would be. The annual figure is higher than Green by quite a bit but they couldn’t sustain those figures hence the situation many of us are finding ourselves in now.
I hope they do notify us of the tariff price soon, but your figures have reassured me that we won’t have to live on beans on toast all winter. Thanks again.3 -
I’ve heard nothing at all from shell. Should I be concerned?0

- If you're a current customer of theirs, yes you should have heard something by now.
- If you're a customer who switched away before Green went bust, but they owe you some credit, no, you probably won't have heard from Shell yet.
