Green Supplier Ltd switch to Shell Energy

You can check on your DNO's website to see if you've been transferred to Shell. I have.Does it really matter how long it takes to get the account up and running? There's nobody offering anything better than cap price for the foreseeable.I'd rather the transfer was done accurately, first time, rather than rushed with errors.0

As I stated I pmd them and was given an account number and meter readings start amounts. My electricity smart meter has transferred across fine. My gas meter due to an error on greens part is my old meter . They haven't recognised my gas smart meter yet as green hadn't commissioned it so they have made a note of my new meter number and initial reading ready for when it is Correct on the national Meter database. Give shell a chance. Its literally a month since they took Over. Its not a simple supplier switch and even those take more than a Month. They Will get there0

@Verdigris Please do not presume that you know the circumstances of my personal situation before you make ‘helpful’ suggestions. My DNO would not show that Shell is my supplier because it isn’t, because I had left Green before they ceased trading for ANOTHER supplier. However, Shell IS responsible for administering my credit balance with Green. If you are going to make clever comments, you need to at least get the facts straight and read posts properly. I did notice you directing a snarky comment to me on another thread.
Furthermore, it may not matter to you how long it takes to resolve this situation, but it DOES matter to me. Again, you can not possibly know what my circumstances are, so why comment?1 -
Perhaps you should have said you'd transferred to a different supplier. As it happens I was in a similar situation a year ago. It took a couple of months for the SoLR to return my credit. I suspect it may take longer, now, because of the sheer number of transfers at the moment. And you could try being a little more gracious in future.1

@Tafrock That then begs the question as to why some customers are given better/different information than is given to others. Surely that should not be the case.0

-some new meter reads appeared on GREEN account 26/9 alongside my reads given on 27/9 (as above, it looks like they are preparing systems for generating a final bill)
-opening read given to my new supplier Sainsbury has appeared on Electricity account but not Gas (GREEN account)
-no account set up with Shell yet ( I am happy to wait as only have a small amount of credit circa £50 and 5 days with them)
-some Shell/GREEN customers saying the opening reads on shell account are not the ones they gave on 27/9 . Shell response
" The opening reading for my account is wrong. What should I do?
We're waiting to receive your previous meter reads from the administrator. But so you can receive a monthly bill without delay, we've estimated your opening read based on your previous energy use. Once we get the information we need, we'll send you an amended bill to your correct reading. If you find the readings still aren't correct, please send us a picture of your meter reading and we can update it for you."

One week since receiving my account info from shell by requesting it using Facebook messenger and my meters are all sorted now. I realised straight away that shell had incorrect details for my gas smart meter (green hadn't Commissioned the newly installed gas meter by time they went bust ). Today I log onto my shell account and both my smart meters are being recognised by shell. Credit where credit is due0

I've just had a couple of e-mails from Shell and a couple from Green asking final readings which I have given. Nothing seems to be happening at the moment. I installed the Shell Energy app and tried registering and getting a sign in link but don't receive an e-mail at all. I assume my account hasn't been set up yet? Not sure whether just to sit and wait or contact them as they're probably horrendously busy taking on customers from 3 suppliers and probably doubling their customer base in the space of a month or so.

Hi, was moved fro Green from in September but despite requesting tariff details I still don’t know what I will be paying. I have no direct debit set up so dread to think what my bill will be.Does anyone else know what the economy 7 tariff costs are likely to be.
This is like being told you have to have an electric car but we’re not going to tell you how much it will cost.
this has been over six weeks now and I’m really worried about this.
I know they are busy but they must know how much they charge.
