Hi all, sorry for my lack of posts! I've been really struggling lately with being motivated to do anything.I'm still tracking and keeping up with my budgets. I've realised I spend money literally every day. Still no NSDs yet! It's almost an afterthought too. I don't even consider it until after I have spent some money. I need to start going for walks and leaving my purse at home. Also I did all that batch cooking and for 3 days forgot to take anything out of the freezer for dinner!Small wins though. I cleared out my understairs cupboard ready to put coat hooks in there so my hallway will be less cramped. I was ruthless in my discarding and have 5 bags of stuff to get rid of.7

Evening turtles.
Small spend today, went to a vintage clothing event where you pay £13 per kilo of clothes. It was SO busy but most of the clothes weren't for me, I did bag a pair of dungarees for £9 based on their weight. It was good to see clothes getting reused though, there were people coming out with big full bags!
Also got loads of little jobs done, sorting out library books, dropped a bag off at the charity shop, polished my car. Feel very productive. Took frequent breaks because of my back as I know I can set off a flareup when I spend too long doing stuff that involves lots of bending etc, I'd like to do a bit of batch cooking but we'll see, worst case it can wait until tomorrow.
I may pop out later, OH is out with friends as it's someone's birthday. Whether I go depends on how drunk they all are...8 -
hi all
lcc i've seen those events advertised and fancied them! However, i really need to get rid of stuff not buy more .... Although on that note, i have been spendy today. I bought a dress and some shoes - both via £co and i had a voucher for the shoes so got 20% off. Also bought some tights as i have run out of black ones in a particular expensive make but they are really comfy and i wear them when at work.
Also bought a cinema ticket to see JB tomorrow! Missed it last week as i was ill and tomorrow was my one opportunity. I was supposed to be going to a friends for tea tonight but she is ill so the cinema is my treat instead.
I have returned some jeans to the PO; i walked there and back to get my 10k steps in.
I'm going to listen to R2 now and batch make soup and use up some fresh pasta for tea.
Gratitudes - paperless returns to M£S; being able to have a nice day on my own; plenty of food in the cupboards and fridge

Another unexpected NSD, #6.Did pay out £1 for parking, but it was a shiny coin I had been keeping in my purse for that purpose since last week.In a bad mood because I could have knocked a few bits off the list, but shopping when annoyed is not a wise thing to do.Eating from the fridge, because the quantity of courgette and cucumber and broccoli in there was ridiculous. Miso noodle soup with bendy veg for tea, 7 veg curry for lunch. Defrosted a load of strawberries last night, so made shortbread, and had a strawberry soup with a vanilla ice cream float and a shortbread 'hat'. All the boys were happy. All the strawberries are gone.Going to make a hot chocolate tonight because I can and those veggie marshmallows are not going to eat themselves. In a surprise turn on RooferWatch today ......... still no roofer.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today was a spend day as planned and tomorrow will be too as we didn’t get round to all the shops we wanted to visit as Mum wasn’t feeling too great. So I will be staying on 6 NSDs for the next day at least.
Went to one of the German supermarkets hoping to get one of their fruit and veg boxes to make some soup but they were not doing them in that store today. As I rarely go into that part of town I decided to have a look around and do some of my planned shopping in there. Really surprised and pleased when I reached the checkout as I had purchased a lot more than planned and it cost much less than I had expected it to. It did include a few things I hadn’t planned to buy but thought I would get them in preparation for that special time in December that we do not mention. I also bought a bag of sweets in preparation for Halloween.
Grateful today for lovely sunny weather, lots of supermarket bargains, a really quick and easy but extremely tasty dinner tonight. That money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"7 -
Evening All! Quite a good day today. Put a new zip in a jacket first thing, then picked up a friend & she bought me lunch. Had a good chat. Planted some bulbs when I got home, until the rain returned, then pottered inside. Put some of DS3's jeans that he's never worn on local selling page. Had suggested DS1 & Mr T go to the cinema one night with my remaining 2 free cinema tickets, so as son had tonight off, they both went & took DS3 with them. Only had to pay for one ticket, but spent plenty on snacks!! Took out a trial of a well known TV paper, 6 issues for £1, so have written a note to cancel on the calendar, then I won't get charged the full amount after. Prefer my much cheaper paper, but this offer is cheaper still & only for a short period.
Washed up & washed the kitchen floor whilst listening to videos on yootoob, then did some knitting & watched programmes off the box.Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

No NSD today as saw a countertop dishwasher I'd wanted on sale so decided to buy it, 20% off. I've resisted buying one for years but OH never washes up so I've given in, just making my own life easier now! We don't have enough room for a full size one but as there's just OH and I at home a small one should be fine.
Went for a nice horse ride this morning with another person, she is really nice and accommodating of my still slightly dodgy back. Then came home, watched some TV and have been doing some batch cooking ready for the week ahead.
Grateful for a well-behaved pony, playing with puppies at the yard, and tasty homemade food.8 -
I think I’ve been dreaming that I’ve been posting in NST because I’ve just realised that I’ve not checked in since Thursday! I was on NSD 5 then and I’m still there.I’ve bought a Halloween outfit for DS, books for him from CS, new pizza trays, and had our weekly grocery delivery.Today we drove to my manager’s house to pick up a swimming float for DS that her DD no longer uses, and she also gave us some books. I say ‘manager’ but it seems too cold a term. She’s loosely a friend. She’s a very nice person who I get on well with.Sunday sweeps were:Food £9.68Leisure £20Transport £0Savings goals progress this month:Mortgage OP: £29.68/£120Holiday: £0/£80Grateful for free swimming float and books from manager/friend, for watching DS at his swimming lesson, and for my forthcoming week off work.

I've had a nice day - mix of usefulness and pleasureI did some of my PT jobs this morning. This afternoon i drove to a nearby town to watch James Bond!! Loved it. After that i walked by the river and sat still for 5 mins just looking at the water. I also bought a birthday card for my dad, present for my niece and a bottle of gin from m£s on the theme of the end of year thing we don't yet mention
I made myself a veggie roast when i got home and have prepped salad for lunch tomorrow as i'm going into the office.
As it's a spendy day, i will also pay for my weekly exercise class. I've had a couple of weeks off due to work and feeling ill so need to get moving next week! Have done my 10k steps though
Gratitudes - a lovely afternoon on my own; text chat with old colleague; being able to buy ahead for the December event without going into debt
