As expected today was a spend day but not too much just some medication from the pharmacy and a few bits from MandS that I probably didn’t need but definitely wanted. Still well under budget on my groceries so far this month and apart from my regular milk deliveries probably won’t need anything else.
Mum went home after lunch so I cooked some dog food and a large pan of soup using lots of past their best vegetables. Other than that I’ve just had a lazy afternoon. Spent most of this evening on the phone to my step son, then my Dad and finally my daughter. Now I’m just about to make a nice herbal tea to take upstairs and listen to a bit of relaxing music before going to sleep.
Today I’m grateful for warm and sunny weather, lovely catch ups with family and enough healthy home cooked soup to last a few days. That money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"9 -

Very wet & windy here. Had a lie in until 9am, then after breakfast I spent 3 hours doing a frog sewing job. Thankfully the customer came straight away to collect it, so that's a black bag out of my bedroom ☺️ had an online meeting with our ex next door neighbour, who is now a rep for U Wareh0use. She's managed to save us £300 a year on our electricity bill. Packaged an item up that I sold on the bay of E, then lay in bed & read my book. (No room on the settee due to hubby & cat) had a nap too lol.
Washed up after tea, flicked through a few magazines I'd been given, then put them for recycling.Use it up, wear it out

Morning all, managed an actual nsd day yesterday. I was very naughty and spent my last money on a plant pot on Saturday. So my bananas are now all comfy and snug in each their pot.
I'm sick to my heart over ds1 in care home, no sign of fruit or vege at any meals, what happened to 5 a day, literally tea - a cheese burger: meat patty w cheese and a very dry bun. He literally could not eat it. I will have to start feeding him.
Went on a lake swim yesterday which was lovely.

NSD 6.Visited friends and gave pressies to their DD who turned 1 at the weekend. Also took some of DS’s baby storybooks for the wee one.Did two loads of washing and dried on the line in no time thanks to the mild windy weather.
My plan to start my project management course has fallen flat on its Rs. The course expired. 😂 I didn’t realise there was a deadline. Oh well, I’ll need to find something else to learn this month.Grateful for seeing friends, for friends’ DH giving big smiles while looking at the books we brought, and for OH. clearing up after dinner.

Walked to the post office & back. Whilst there I chatted with the lady behind the counter (have known her for years). Was asking about the man who's partner wanted to stock my bears & that I felt unhappy that they wanted a third of the sake price, so I wouldn't recoup pay for my time, etc. When I got home, as per her suggestion, I sent them a message asking to advertise the bears for a higher price. All sorted now & I feel happier about it all 😃
Started doing a short survey on Prize Rebel, but it kept going on & on, so gave up in the end! Anyone else have any experience with them?
Went to town to pick hubby up from dialysis, then we looked round a couple of CS. Got a branded hoodie for DS1, so he was happy. Took hubby for his flu jab, dropped sewing off & picked up another one. Unpicked the old zip before tea, then put the new one in after. Flicked through some craft magazines I bought in the CS, tore out the pages I wanted. Will offer to my artist friend tomorrow for inspiration, or recycle if not wanted.
Grateful for sorting out the bears, a walk in the fresh air, getting a bargain!Use it up, wear it out

My gratitudes over the past few days have been: a cinema trip with all the children who live at home, the sun shining even though I've expected the weather to be terrible, and finally feeling like i'm catchig up with the washing!
