Just reading the last couple pages of thread.....has Octopus asked folks to send meter reading in on 1st April ......not had email saying that !!
Last two emails they sent advised me my DD was going up for March date then today another saying they will take another £70 from April DD.
So they make a correction for March then do it again in April.....I think they are just as bad as all the rest. No idea what they are doing

Still hopefully some of the DD will build up to give a cushion for October and can I be hopeful and say by then the Avro credit might appear

Just received an email from Octopus saying that they want to put my DD up to £206.84 pm.. I have it set at £145 at the mo. This is taking into account Aprils rise.

No. Octopus has not asked for readings on 1st April but if you don't submit readings on 2nd April then your next statement will be based on estimated readings for the date of the tariff change due from 2nd April.

As the last paragraph of today's Octopus email suggests that they can switch you to variable DD payments, why not give it a try?
I can't see how you can do it online, but the agent I talked to said that the request was valid and would be passed on to Octopus Towers.
    Third time lucky, I hope.

Ignore the quote button, just enter your Post Code below and look for 'Flexible Octopus April 2022 v1'

  • I finally have a bill from Avro energy (switched to them from EDF on the 24th September so only 2 days supply with them)

The problem is the opening meter readings do not match the closing readings from EDF.  Any one else had that problem?

Hope they will sort this out quickly as waited ages for bill and it wasn't correct.

Judging by recent replies, Octopus are dealing with people who spent a few days with Avro. Hopefully those who spent no days with Avro are next in the queue!

Assuming Avro's administrators are no longer involved and if you have already been in contact with Octopus there would be no harm in pre-empting the situation to speed things up by letting Octopus have a copy of your final bill from your supplier prior to Avro.
Providing a copy of your final bill from the previous supplier prior to AVRO will do nothing.

I did exactly that and they produced my first bill from it (I believe others whose switch to Avro didn't complete have done the same thing).
I was mid switch from igloo to Avro when Avro went bust. I've had my final bill from igloo (refunded credit paid by EON Next). Already sent a copy of this final bill and screen grabs of my account on the Avro website as proof of the DD payment to Avro. Octopus said that I would have to wait for their systems to update and my account to fully move across. Might email them the information again over the weekend and see if it moves things along.
Update got a reply to my email. Octopus have sent the info, I supplied, to Avro's administrators and now billed me from 1st October (Avro switch day) to 28 February. Its worked out at £505 for 5 months usage. Minus £102 payments paid to Octopus £403 to pay (yay). Hopefully the £51 originally paid to Avro will be credited to my Octopus acct when the administrators sort my Avro account out.

    Hi there,
I'm still waiting for a final bill from Avro / Octopus and also a credit refund of around £400.  I already had a request in to move from Avro to EON two weeks before Avro collapsed, however this was completed after Octopus took over.  I have been with EON since, starting with a zero balance.

A further payment was taken by Avro / Ocotpus via DD, long after the move to EON was completed.  I have since cancelled the DD>

I have an email trail of over 30 messages with Ocotopus, who were providing updates until two weeks ago.  Now no replies and zero response.

I guess I'll give it a couple more weeks before starting a formal complaint.

    Thanks,
