any credits from Avro have been added to my account

I'm still waiting for my full Avro balance to be transferred. Octopus keep saying they are waiting for the administrators to send them the money, but that's not really any of my concern. All I'm interested in is that Octopus credit the account. Payments made to Avro before they ceased trading for people in mid-switch to Avro when they ceased trading seem to have fallen down the back of the sofa.
They are not waiting for any money from Avro, but they may still be waiting for the final balance details...

I have evidence of that which I sent to Octopus, and which was then apparently forwarded to the Octopus "migration team", weeks ago.

The statement was produced otherwise I wouldn't have made the payment in the first place.
Sorry, I assumed the "They worked out what I owed and I paid this in one lump sum." was an interim assessment pending production of the first actual statement.

I'm still waiting after countless emails for any action from Octopus and empty promise after promise.

I'm still owed around £400, including the direct debit taken after Avro ceased trading.  Unbelievable.

I was with Avro for 8 days. I have received all my bills from Octopus and the total payment up to the 8th of April is £848.41 - not too bad.  However, when the temperature was at single digit and I was alone, I put layers of clothes on instead of central heating.

Was it the same person replied to you when you contacted Octopus? If so, call the help line as well. My experience is that the person who answers the call would push whoever is dealing with you if they cannot help.

    Good luck.

That might be one reason they want people to have smart meters you cannot give false readings when they ask for readings plus the readings can be read by the energy company. Then there is those who want to save every penny they can, like me, who turn off everything not in use off at the wall socket. Then there is YOU where people will move the times they do certain things like cook meals outside the peak periods when they are charging more for electric and gas and will change the times they use electric or gas so they are not paying more for their energy.
Someone please tell me what money is
  • @wild666 what has any of that got to do with Octopus Energy taking on Avro customers? In a topic with 161 pages, it pays to keep things on topic.

The Octopus page on Avro says in the latest update "the transfer of Avro customers is very nearly complete" and yet the last person I spoke to said the migration team is small and still has a large backlog to get through, and could offer no timescale on completion. It seems like after seven months this is far from over.

I got another reply today saying they are working on it and there is no ETA.

I do really need the funds unfortuantely.

    I sympathise with your predicament.
Off topic, I know, but have you considered applying for a 0%-interest (on purchases) credit card to use for your day-to-day spending to take the heat off your immediate cash requirements.
    Edit
As this matter is off-topic, please don't ask for details here. There is plenty of info on other MSE pages about this.
