    Hi there,
I'm still waiting for a final bill from Avro / Octopus and also a credit refund of around £400.  I already had a request in to move from Avro to EON two weeks before Avro collapsed, however this was completed after Octopus took over.  I have been with EON since, starting with a zero balance.

A further payment was taken by Avro / Ocotpus via DD, long after the move to EON was completed.  I have since cancelled the DD>

You are in the final group of ex-Avro customer to be sorted out, those who managed to switch away before the SoLR process are usually last in line regardless of which supplier took over from the failed company.
Yes it is annoying, but they are working through your group now so hopefully not going to be long.

    Just for info:
I successfully submitted my meter readings online yesterday (02 Apr.) and received an email today with a pdf statement of consumption up to and including 01 April.
So they seem to be on top of the situation at the moment.

I also submitted meter readings yesterday 3rd April, and within 30 minutes had an up to date statement on my account.
  • Had to ring Octopus today cause I've still not had anything since by switch to Avro ,on 26th sept, apparently a IT issue with the last batch on people . But did manage to tell me how much I'll be paying and estimated my final bill for me . Still annoying that I have to wait for final statement still though .

i submitted readings a few days ago. my electricity meter reading history has an opening reading so it was able to generate a balance for that. My gas still has not got an opening reading, so no balance available for that.

Unfortunately, mid-switchers are having a bit of a long wait to get their accounts fully operational right now.

So we know there is a compensation scheme for credit balances recovered by the higher standing charges, but do the new companies have to hire new staff with compensation for it as well? As the service quality at Octopus has gone down the gutter since they started taking on refugees, I have had staff on the phone openly tell me how overburdened they are, seems management isnt scaling their manpower with customer count.
