How can they officially take over today when we dont know what we are paying????
That should not be legal - we should no what we are paying so we can switch if its too high0 -
They should contact you shortly telling you what the situation is and then you are free to change tariff or company if you wish.0

Your alternative, I guess, would be to have your gas and electricity cut off entirely as from today (or on the day that Avro failed), and you would be without a supplier until you could pick a new one for yourself - and I don't think most people would want that. You can switch as soon as the switch to Octopus is complete. Have a read of https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications/avro-energy-customers-your-questions-new-supplier-octopus-energy.

Or they honour AVRO until all the ducks are in a row
How a company can blindly charge you without telling the customer what they are paying is ridiculous1 -

I am not sure what meter reader i have but i have to give it monthly.
Should i take daily meter readings or is one for today enough?
I took a meter reading a few days ago. I took photos of each reading so I have proof if needed. I haven't taken any since.
If you haven't done so already it would be a good idea to go to your Avro account and take screen shots of- Your payments (this will show any credit you have) Make sure you get your account number/email address in the screen shot. These above your statements on the top right hand side.
- Your statements. Aagain include your account number/email in screen shot.

This is not an ideal situationl, we will pay more that's a fact. I for one am happy I've ended up with Octopus. It's a good thing that our supply is not cut off so I am thankful for that 🤔0

Hi.
I was also with Avro where I was officially supplied just from 21st July this year.
This has probably been asked already but I was just curious as to what happens with my monthly direct debits with them?
Would money still go to them despite the fact they have folded?
Do I need to cancel my direct debit or do I still need to keep it open for when the new supplier take over from Avro?
Hope someone can tell me as I've never been in this situation before.
Thank.0
