Is there any limit to number of accounts imposed by Santander ? ( I already have one Joint and one individual Santander account )
Do they hard search you for multiple accounts ?
Has anybody been successful in trying this out ?
Opened a second Everyday account, so you can have at least two.
Am expecting a hard search tbh. (Appeared on Experian last time I opened one. Too early yet obviously)
I currently have a sole 123Lite and sole Everyday, I’d like to open 2nd Everyday for this offer, which I think you’re saying is possible all be it will result in hard search.0 -
Santander accounts opened for me and the wife with switches set to start. Have already done the same to get the Nationwide switching offer so that should provide some nice income in the coming weeks. This is fun, it's like the old days.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.2

Sorry to ask a stupid question, new to this.
Reading recent comments on here suggests DDs need to be in place 60 days before the switch.
I have a couple of spare accounts but no DDs set up on them. Given the October 31st closing date, I assume it's not possible for me to qualify for this offer?
I do have an Everyday Saver account with Santander sitting empty if that helps in anyway.0 -
re-read "within 60 days of switch"0

Is there a way to find out if one has received a switching offer from Santander in the past? I didn’t partake of the Amazon jamboree and done so many other switches have no clue if or when Santander offered switch bonus in the past!?0

My partner is currently with Santander and wants to stay with them long term. Is there anything stopping her from switching to the nationwide offer, getting the £100 bonus from them within 10 days and then switching back to Santander for the £130? Thanks0

I currently hold an Everyday current account and I decided rather than having to faff around with a branch visit, that I'd just open a second Everyday current account and switch as a part of the application (donor has 2x DDs already set up). Very straight forward and was opened and visible on my online banking straightaway. Haven't checked if I was credit searched, but I suspect I was given there was a big spinning circle of doom on the final application page that took a few mins to process. All that's left is to deposit £1k in the next 60 days once the switch completes

3.4 We reserve the right to not make any Cashback Payment where we suspect or are made aware that the Switcher Offer is being abused, for example, by closing an Old Account to switch back to us to receive the Cashback Payment.
