Hope someone can help. It looks like Santander have another similar offer on at the moment paying £140 for switching in - see the weekly MSE email. It looks like the terms are the same. I haven't read all of this thread, but can anyone clarify the direct debit position:
I hope to switch an external donor account into my EXISTING Santander account. The EXISTING Santander account already has 2 DDs on it.
For the incentive, do the 2 DDs they mention have to be pre-existing on the donor account you are switching in (what happens if you don't already have any DDs set up on the account you are switching in?)
OR, do the 2 DDs they mention have to be new DDs you set once the account has switched in order to get the incentive.
Also, for transfers into EXISTING Santander accounts, was anyone able to do this over the phone or online before rather than having to go to branch, as they seem to suggest is required?
