Did anyone initiate their switch on the 5th October and have had the bonus paid yet?

Bonus is paid at number of days from instruction... which could be upto 3 weeks before switch starting.

Your expectations/comparisons need to be counted down from the date you instructed them to make your switch.

54 - 60 days from the date of opening the account as far as I've been able to tell from the limited info so far on here...

If you want 'clarity', use the term Santander uses in their switching terms:

3.1 We will assess the Qualifying Account 60 days after the switch has been instructed to decide whether you have qualified for the Switcher Offer and the Cashback Payment under these Terms. The date you opened the account, the switch start date and the switch completion date are all irrelevant. 
The only relevant date is the date of the instruction to Santander that you wish to switch. The bonus is (apparently) paid 54-60 days from that date.
