Not tried pay at pump, but would not bother.miller said:
Tried at Sainsbury's Pay at Pump today and the card was declined. Looking at the Chase app it tried to authorise for £100 and I had less than £100 in the account (but greater than £0). According to the MSE article I read, that's not how it should work (I should have been allowed to fill up to the account balance of ~£50). In the end I paid with a different card.miller said:
Will do, it will be next week at the earliest now as I went today and still haven't received my card yet. I noticed today the machine asks for a PIN to authorise up to £100 at Sainsbury's then when you start fueling it says max £99. As I understand it, since the new system came in, it should authorise £100 or up to the maximum available balance, whichever is smaller. We shall see.mab3000 said:Please update with wether your chase card works at the sainsburys pay at pump. Would be good to know if it works for someone else!
I only use credit cards at pump As you get weeks for it to sort out before paying the bill.0 -
I have an LG phone. Android 11. I get the same thing. 'your device isn't compatible with this version'lindylootoo said:My Motorola Phone shows it is "Updated to Android 9" but on scanning the QR code to open an account am getting the message "your device isn't compatible with this version". Why does it say that? Seems a bit discriminatory...........0 -
I activated roundup and went to do an online payment for £5.9, so I moved in £6 & it was declined.miller said:

I got a text message saying a £1 and a £5.90 transaction were declined due to insufficient funds.
So I transferred another £4 across, retried & it went through & then I transferred the £4 back. Instant clearing debit card transactions will take some getting used to, Halifax normally give you a couple of days (and an overdraft...)
Sainsbury's put a £100 hold on my friends credit card that lasted days, as well as the actual amount.

Queried the debit card element with Chase support earlier and this time told the max amount on debit card is the available funds in your current account and not £25k.tg99 said:When I spoke to customer services I was told that the £25k per day limit is cumulative across all your Chase accounts and includes debit card payments. Have never come across debit card payments being counted in daily bank transfer limits before so not sure if this will prove to be correct. Anyone have any experience of this?0 -
Dumb question but if I add extra accounts to categorise my spending, I assume I still get the 1% cashback on all the accounts not just the original one?0

I didn't realise Chase was instant clearing? Are they not just hiding the fact they're pending?phillw said:

I also like the fact that, unlike other banks you do not need to log out and log back in to see deposits which appear instantly.0 -
There’s a major snag though with money transferred from the savings account to the current account. Even though the transferred money shows instantly, you can’t necessarily spend it instantly with the debit card. Chase can reject payments with an “insufficient balance” message for several minutes after the internal transfer. They have already paid me compensation for this, and hopefully they will solve this issue before long.RG2015 said:

Thanks. This is good to know, although very disappointing for a bank of JPMC's standing to fall foul of such shoddy IT.Daliah said:

I guess this state of balance limbo would also apply to external transfers in.0 -
My Barlcaycard works as it should for this - the actual amount fueled is debited and there's no £100 pending. Clearly there's still a lot of inconsistency in the implementation.phillw said:miller said:
