I don't. Not having direct debit functionality makes it fairly useless as a main account to me.
When DD come, will you be doing it then?
Dunno. They haven't so it's not something I'm spending much energy thinking about.

I've only been persuaded to open one as a result of the £50 Amzn voucher incentive Nutmeg sent me by email.

If Chase pay better significantly better cashback on DDs than Santander, I will move my DDs. I would still keep my Santander account.

seems a Chinese whisper. No source. No link. No way to corroborate. That's what we 'like' about it  ;)

Do you understand what Beta Testing/Tester is?  I will give you source and explanation this time : Google
Beta testing is a type of user acceptance testing where the product team gives a nearly finished product to a group of target users to evaluate product performance in the real world

You will know soon once this is released to everyone.  Many discussed about DD here so thought to share something that it is coming and in Beta testing phase (which I don't have to tbh)

I'm aware of what a beta is. Thank you.

Where did you see/hear/experience (through some other sense) that Chase is launching beta direct debits? Some banks announce beta's like this:

    https://businesstech.co.za/news/software/397995/bank-zero-to-launch-public-beta-in-the-second-half-of-2020/

I don't suppose you have such a link?

Sharing something that is due to be released is good. It'd be also good if there is some background. I can understand if you heard through a 'friend' who works at Chase. But then, how come Chase doesn't announce this to the public? There is no real benefit to Chase in keeping this under wraps.

    I saw that too.

Any idea why Chase wouldn't reveal this to the public officially? They've only said in a roundabout manner (nothing about beta).

Their Twitter account has this from 26 Jan:

Direct Debits aren't ready yet for our UK customers. We are working on bringing them soon. Please keep an eye out on any emails from us and our social channels for updates.....

As far as I'm aware, every customer received a notification about the "Chase Community" and an invitation to join it. If you want an insight into trial features before they are launched, you would need to join.
