  • If they don't continue the 1% on purchases I can't see the point in staying with them. I have mine until the end of March.

Same here except mine lasts until mid June. I might keep the account open with £1, so that I can load it up before going abroad. But apart from that I wouldn't use it
  • Is there any reason I couldn't do the following with Chase?
Pay DD & SO from my savings account & just use the current account for debt card payments.

That's the way I use it.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but has anyone else had a Chase account added to their ClearScore / Equifax credit reports this week?

Based on the opening dates I think it is a genuine account I hold, but not obvious to me why it's only appeared now. Unhelpfully Chase send them a combined account number and sort code as a reference number, so the report is only showing me the last 4 digits of the sort code (not the actual account number) - hence feeling a little confused!

Ditto, I guess JPMC and Equifax have done a deal to sign each other up.

I’ve had the same. It was named as JPMC. At first I thought it was fraud but then I figured out it was my Chase account. No doubt it will lower my score for having opened another new account.

Changes nothing in the relationship between individual customers and Chase.

Every financial institution will decide which of the credit reference agencies it wishes to share customer data with and make credit referrals of - business agreements that will be reviewed and revised periodically just as with any other business partner.
