On a different note, it appears Chase are now doing confirmation of payee (cop) Apologies if that has been discussed already and I missed it.
I moved some money from Nationwide to Chase today and had to set Chase up as a new payee. It asked for first name and surname, where I expected to get a message saying they could not confirm it and I would be proceeding at my own risk. Instead I got a message saying the name matched.
I signed up last Thursday and had this too. It matched perfectly on my first deposit

I would have preferred a larger pay in requirement and larger Cashback cap for my own use of this account. Currently travelling in US and already accumulated over £25 cashback1

Sorry if this has been asked before but I've created several different current and saving 'accounts' (or pots or whatever you want to call them) previously, I would now like to close a few just to make some things a bit more simple
I've transferred all the balances out of the ones I want to close but there is potential they'll still have some interest to be paid on them (a whole few pence!), if I close them down will any outstanding interest in the future just get chucked into one of my other accounts by them or will it just 'disappear'0 -
Any interest gets paid to your current account1

Had a strange situation yesterday. Paid for a meal with my chase card. As soon as I had tapped the terminal my phone got a notification as normal saying ‘you spent £x at XXXX’ however the staff member said their card reader had said the payment had failed. So I opened the app and had a quick look and sure enough the transaction was there, money had been debited from my balance and the cash back was pending as per all transactions. They were convinced the payment hadn’t gone through, however on seeing the confirmation in my app they decided that perhaps it was their issue and said they’d contact me if they didn’t receive the money. We then left.About an hour later the transaction had completely disappeared from my account and my balance had returned to the amount before we had tried to pay. Which meant trudging back to pay again, this time successfully.Has anyone else had this glitch? Hopefully it doesn’t happen again, was a little frustrating.1

If any other Americans see this, Chase just sent me a 1099-int for the interest I earned in 2022. I’ve been in the UK for more than 13 years, and I think this is the first time I’ve gotten a 1099 for interest earned in the UK0

Happy with the new arrangements so will be staying with Chase, not keen on the two tab bit as i preferred to see all accounts on the first page but not a deal breaker.
