km1500 said:Looks good - just pay in £500 and get same 1% back. Usual exclusions apply I expect and as it is capped at £15 then no point in using it for big spends ie over £1500 a month.
* what you may have missed ** the example above shows you need to pay in the £500 the month before eg in June to get cashback in July. So pay in £500 in FEB to get the cashback in March.0 -
Just had an email about this, too. Buried in it is Also, starting in April, you'll earn 1% AER interest on all your current account balances. We'll let you know when it's ready.
1% is pretty mean and gimmicky but better than nothing.4 -
Happy to stick on this basis (which I guess is the point of the offer). I pay £500 in every month anyway to cover the cost of my spending). I generally carry a couple of hundred quid in the current account and feed that from the savings account every few days so the 1% will have very little effect.1

I hadn't even spotted that @Band7 but these days anything I have 'left over' after paying what I need to gets transferred into a Chase savings account, until I need to make the next DC payment.0

Pleased with that - they've done enough to maintain my interest.
On a different note, it appears Chase are now doing confirmation of payee (cop) Apologies if that has been discussed already and I missed it.
I moved some money from Nationwide to Chase today and had to set Chase up as a new payee. It asked for first name and surname, where I expected to get a message saying they could not confirm it and I would be proceeding at my own risk. Instead I got a message saying the name matched.3 -
Just got the email so re-read the cashback exclusions and glad I did as I hadn't realised (or had forgotten) that insurance sales and premiums are excluded. Was just about to pay the wife's and my car insurance renewals using the Chase card but will now have to use my cashback Barclaycard instead ( only 0.5%).Unless anyone has paid insurance premiums using Chase and has received the cashback......?0

I'm wondering about that whole thing of setting up additional accounts. It's the easiest process I've ever came across.
Do you think I could switch one or more of the sub-accounts using CASS, without affecting my main account / card?0
