Anyone else experiencing this problem? If not, I shall attempt to raise a query with them.

I looked on the Chase UK website and couldn't find any information about their Open Banking support.

Same here with the "security checks" for 3 outgoing bank transfers to accounts I've already sent funds to previously, multiple times and for relatively small amounts of a few hundred pounds.

After waiting overnight the first time, I had to call to push it through, and then do that twice for the other two. When I asked the agent she said it's triggered automatically and that she can't promise it won't happen again irrespective of whether it's a small amount or whether it's an existing payee.

The ones I flagged yesterday went through this morning so about 14 hours. I made another transfer this morning and the same thing happened, this time it's 15 hours so far. What are these checks and how come other banks don't do them, other banks transfers seem to happen pretty much immediately? It's v poor and that detracts from the otherwise impressive( IMHO) banking services Chase app provides

I kicked up a fuss and received a goodwill gesture for their poor handling of security checks. They have a department that manually verifies every flagged transfer, but the money still leaves your account and is in limbo the entire time (in my case over 20 hours), and it's unclear exactly how long their checks take, if there is any action on your part that can be taken, or if you need to wait to receive a phone call. I much prefer how Halifax simply blocks suspicious transactions (the money never leaves your account), and you are specifically told to phone their fraud department (so it's on your schedule instead of waiting for them to call you).

I’ve had it now with Chase, three transactions over the pass week to the same bank account all put on hold.

I wish to move a lot of cash out of Chase and at this rate it will be Christmas before I get it.

Does any one know a quick way to close my account and move all my money in one go as I can’t find any info on my account.

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

It's £25k per day if you do it yourself. You could ask them what they do if you request account closure with a large balance.

I may as well request transfers of 25K and have them delayed rather than asking for amounts of a few grand at a time which naively I thought would go through without an issue.

I've had no issues, but then I haven't tried to withdraw money! I have money in the savings account, and I transfer money into the current account, from another bank, to use for spending .
Reports on here don't sound good though .

Had the same issue through last week. I called in this morning and 2 of the 4 payments were still 'stuck'. I stupidly assumed the payment went through as the funds had left my account and I didn't get any further contact from Chase.

The agent asked me unprompted if that's what I was calling for and sorted it out after asking who I was sending it to (both my own accounts that I've sent to multiple times), purpose and whether I'd be sending any more payments.

Anyhoo, she sorted it out and said it shouldn't happen again for the same accounts.

Hopefully it's just a technical error or temporary glitch and not something that'll keep happening.
  • Their referral scheme is closing tomorrow.

    Things may move quicker soon.

For the record, I have had no issues with Chase. Yet. And I been with them from day one.
