Perhaps not one for socialists as the poorer are probably paying for deals for the less poor.
This could be an argument to use with banks who offer credit, in the form of overdrafts, loans and credit cards. Not one that you can use with Chase UK at present as they offer no credit of any sort so far.

Didn’t think about Chase specifically, so my bad as this is a Chase thread.

This just reinforces the fact that Chase UK are just buying customers with no clear income stream.

Has anyone else had problems with entering Chase bank details into British Gas direct debit page?

Tried several browsers but I don’t think BG thinks such a sort code / bank exists.

  • I've been in their crappy waiting room for a week now with no SMS coming through. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence in them.

A week is a long time - can only assume they are overwhelmed with applications.

It seems Chase are getting as bad as HSBC when it comes to account opening.

Made 2 payments about 10 hours ago which Chase paused and put as pending for extra checks saying "This is a standard and automatic process which usually takes a few hours". 10 is more than ' a few' IMHO

Welcome to the club, after a day I had to ring them, hope you have time on your hands.

If you do nothing, it may go through some time Monday fingers crossed.

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

That’s weird Chase stopping it going out.
All my issues were my banks sending it to Chase.
I think I have made over 50 transfers in the last 2 months from chase, to fund other accounts for bills and regular savers.
As my regular savers, Savings accounts etc come to term Ive been stashing to money in Chase.
Waiting for August / September, Hoping for 3 more boe rate rises.

Chase and SaltEdge OpenBanking API daily expiry of connectivity

I use the Banktivity application for macOS/IoS to collect and analyse transaction activity for multiple UK bank and investment accounts. In most cases, SaltEdge is used to provide the Open Banking connectivity at the back end.

Most connections need re-connecting every 90 days but the Chase connection expires daily for no obvious reason. Otherwise it works absolutely fine (providing transactions from both the current account and multiple savings accounts).

Anyone else experiencing this problem? If not, I shall attempt to raise a query with them.

I looked on the Chase UK website and couldn't find any information about their Open Banking support. However, the fact it works (if you add the connection in a mobile browser on the phone with the Chase app installed) suggests some degree of support.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but ignorance is lethal.
