  • Have made 2 x £25k withdrawals to the same a/c in the past two days. Both have gone through instantly. It’s either very random or people are perhaps sending to new payees?
  • Their customer numbers will be falling as fast they rose.
It will be interesting to see what happens in a couple of months time when the first account holders start to reach the end of their 1% cashback offer.

I'm over 24 hours waiting now, this is rubbish service you can't plan your finances properly with delays like this.
No reply to my messages via the app so I phoned. After 20 min wait spoke to someone who said they'd have to transfer me to someone else but after another 5 mins holding I was told noone was available but a message had been left to phone me. No-one has. Now approaching 35 h since I started the transfer and I'm losing patience (as well as interest) that my money is in cyberspace

Now over 48 hours mark. I had a message via the app earlier this morning asking when is the best time to phone me so now waiting for a call. I'll certainly bang a complaint off to their freepost address if nothing is offered besides an apology

I'm just making transactions to a single payee. None of mine have been held since the first large transfer, but the delay in even appearing is new to me as of today.

My payment that's been pending for over 48 hrs is to an existing payee

Seeing that new applications now take half an eternity, I won't close the main account, just in case they will have an interesting offer for existing customers in the future. I doubt they will have another new customer incentive anytime soon.

As long as the current account remains free of fees, my current account will go dormant when the cashback offer comes to an end and isn't replaced by something else worthwhile. My savings account is already dormant but I would use it again if their rate became market leading again.

I have sent 3 payments over the past week to the same account in my name, all 3 put on hold. First one I had to ring to get it sorted, second one cleared after 24hrs, the third is still pending.
What a shower of 'doo doo'.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

Make sure to complain, and they should offer you compensation. At the very least the lost interest, and minimum £10 on top.
I suppose they would be hiding behind the PSD requirement that Faster Payments need to arrive no later than the next business day, which was end of yesterday in @kuepper's case. These delays are very annoying, and Chase don't do their reputation any favour right now with low levels of customer service.
I attempted a transfer at 2 PM on Saturday 4th, and they tried calling me at 9:07 AM on Sunday 5th. They called again at 10:12 AM to release the transfer (and note my complaint), then again at 10:22 AM to inform me that £10 had been deposited in my account as a gesture of goodwill, and then again at 12:56 PM to inform me that my complaint had been resolved.

in case it happens to me  can I ask how you know they are pending as opposed to gone through? I assume the money leaves your account either way ?

Click on the three dots next to account then see account. Click on the payment and then under status it should say pending or complete.
