  • Hey guys, looking for advice. I switched to them from EDF on 6th Sep, got my account number etc. then only found out TODAY they went bust on the 7th. I've had no emails since. EDF notified me not long after they heard I was leaving. So now with 10 days left on my contract I have no idea what is happening. How do I find out if PFP have stopped trading? Also with only 10 days left does that mean I'll end up getting stuck on EDF's 3 year fixed contract if nothing has been done?

    Any advice appreciated 😀

    That's probably your problem, your switch to your SoLR is under way and you can't switch again until it's complete.

    Account page still working for me. They've disabled meter reading functions, but everything else working ok.

    We're sorry to say we're having a bit of trouble getting you switched over to us. We rely on a shared industry database to get all the information we need about your meter and property while switching your supply. It looks like some of the information stored in the database wasn't quite right, which has meant your move to us has been stopped.

    It also could be that we've got the wrong postcode, your property is used for commercial purposes, or you've switched (or tried to switch) in the last 28 days.

    We'd love to get your switch moving again, so please could you reply to this email confirming:
    1. Your full address (including postcode)
    2. Your property is domestic (not used for business)
    3. You've not switched or tried to switch in the last 28 days

    And we'll get it sorted for you.

    I switched to Sainsbury’s in the 12th and got an email yesterday saying it has been approved.

    Also worth noting that Sainsburys fixed rate tariff prices have now gone up if you're still looking to switch. I got a quote today and noticed that for my usage, it is now almost £7/month more expensive than yesterday.

    All tariffs went up overnight, and a lot of fixed rate ones disappeared. But I've just had my contract through from BG, confirming the Tariff (Price Promise April 2022) and it's actually cheaper than any other I can get on the market at the moment (based on our usage). Still a big jump from what we were paying, but over £25 pm cheaper than the next cheapest option on the market. As the price is fixed until April, we are going to stick with BG for the time being and see how the land lies in April (when hopefully the gas pipe issue in France is fixed).
