I have been put on the BG Price Promise April 2022 (Gas unit rate 4.47, Standing charge 26.12p per day, Elec unit rate 20.59, Standing charge 25.09p per day). They have for some reason put my payment method as cash or cheque and not DD which I have always paid by with previous suppliers. Is this likely to have affected the rate they have put me on?0

I'm still with PfP according to my distributor's website. Does anyone have any insight into how the SOLR moves over accounts - or is it random?

It quotes the DD price but it also implies there'll be a higher charge if you pay cash/cheque quarterly. Needless to say, it is a waste of time ringing the telephone number quoted because it asks for an account number (beginning 85...) when you details only show a different sales reference number. If you try the "speak to a human" option, it tells you the office is closed.1

Lots of emails with one going to the spam folder. Password change email to set up account. Request to phone them in new account which I won't bother with. Saying I am paying by cash or cheque. Bright app doesn't show meter totals, only usage. Home display shows total as well.
Any idea, how to get detailed readings from somewhere? Another meter website or app? My meter stopped reporting to PfP website on 11th of Sept.My meter has a button you press to scroll through the four registers. I'm on a single-rate tariff so only one register is counting, the other three read 00000. Yours should be similar (but not the same, unless you also have an Aclara SGM1400 meter).I've signed up to http://www.n3rgy.com/ and I can download half-hourly meter data from there. This might let you get the detailed readings you're looking for.

It only downloads consumption, but doesn't show meter read. And consumption is not divided into night and day.0 -

- Before you received your smart meter, did you have a conventional dual-meter setup, one for peak and one for off-peak?
- Has your smart meter ever reported your peak and off-peak consumption separately?
Sorry if this is something you've explained at length before, I've had a brief look at your recent message history and can't see anything.N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

My standard, digital meter was replaced by smart meter on 1st of July. That meter never reported to PfP and was going down for days.
It was replaced with different brand meter (EDMI ES-10B) on 1st of September and that one correctly reported to PfP, it was configured as Eco 7 and was reporting day and night reading every day untill 11st of September.
My in home display only shows one reading, so I went to check on the meter and it shows one reading too. I read manual for the meter, but it didn't help. There's just current reading and total bill cost. Flipping through options doesn't show any other reading.0 -
Thanks for the info. The date, the 11th, is after PfP stopped trading.Does your smart meter or IHD tell you who your current supplier is? One of the screens on my meter says "Welcome to EDF Energy". Do you get a message like this?N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.
