Still haven't heard from BG since last email 7 days ago. PfP meter read function is back on. Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get hit with the £12 penalty charge.Fashion on the Ration 2025 58/660

You're suppose to ring BG, for some reason. I've never had to ring anybody for a switch before. Still trying to pluck up the resolve to be on hold for hours.

I did try 'Cosmo' the virtual assistant - who wasn't any help at all (LOL). I was then put in an online queue for an operator at number 70. I don't know whether I get charged for calls to an 0333 number - if I am, I'm off to find an 0800 number for BG customer service!Verdigris said:You're suppose to ring BG, for some reason. 0333 is free from landlines and mobiles, according to the BG page.

I received an email from British Gas today. It says "Customers who pay by Direct Debit are charged a lower price than customers who pay by cash or cheque. As a Direct Debit customer our standing charge for electricity would be 24.017p per day and our unit rate would be 20.87 pence/kWh" Does anyone know what the non Direct Debit price is?

21.607p per kWh / 25.664p per day

Has anyone who has phoned PFP got the £12 charge refunded? Don’t want to waste even more money phoning them if you get nowhere!0

Not me but someone else called and they said they'd have to argue it out with the new supplier. It's not only the £12 for me. They've also changed the standing charge rate, you might want to check that so you're ready with your arguments.fly-catchers said:Has anyone who has phoned PFP got the £12 charge refunded? Wow good spot! My standing charge when I check on the pfp account is now 27.3p for both gas and electric! They've not communicated this out. Surely this is a breach as I am still on the fixed contract with them at the moment?t0rt0ise said:

My sainsburys energy switch I initiated last Wednesday has been fully confirmed and I am migrating to them on 2 October.0
