Assuming you have a Franke (rather than a Frankie) The 50 year guarantee has a number of exclusions, including ex display and cosmetic scratches...0 -
Yes Franke sorry iphone. So I have to keep it in this shape0
-
They won't cover it and it cost me nearly 2500

As long as the sink has been installed in accordance with the fitting instructions, it is for the retailer to honour the warranty.Don't be fobbed off by the retailer telling you that you have to contact Franke - Legislation places the responsibility firmly with the retailer (except for a business to business transaction).Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Actually it's up to whoever the warranty is with to honour it. You may be confusing guarantees with consumer rights which are of course with the retailer. However considering he bought this from Amazon I think the OP has a a fight on their hand proving that this isn't user or installation damage which is likely what they will assert.FreeBear said:Harrywayon said: I spoke to frankies if I use my own plumber then we have no warranty? You should be taking the issue up with the retailer that sold you the sink in the first 12 months not Franke. BTW, I still reckon this is a scratch, particularly if you open the image up on a new tab and zoom in on it.
@Harrywayon did you buy this direct from Amazon or was this an Amazon marketplace seller?

No. I was just trying to keep the post concise.neilmcl said: Actually it's up to whoever the warranty is with to honour it. You may be confusing guarantees with consumer rights which are of course with the retailer.

Your first port of call is the Amazon seller. If they are unhelpful, speak to Amazon, and mention the A-Z guarantee (that Amazon offer which covers their sellers). You can find details here:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=GQ37ZCNECJKTFYQV
I see no reason why you shouldn't *also* contact Franke, but Amazon rule their marketplace sellers with a rod of steel, so that may be easier.
I doubt that anyone will reimburse your fitting costs, I'm afraid.
Incidentally, 'scratch resistant' does not mean you can't scratch it, but I'm not at all convinced that you have, anyway. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Thanks I will contact Franke again today but as I used a private plumber I dont think they cover it.0
