  • Can anyone who switched and received a new card confirm if they are sending out the new style card or still the old ones?

Oddly enough, I had decided to switch out of my FD account to my NW  Flexdirect once my  FD regular saver had ended  - then the NW switch offer came up which was a bit of luck!

The switch completed yesterday and the £125 was in the NW account today - very easy and efficient switch.

Did you apply for a FlexAccount or other account as the FA appears to be the first current account type with the new card.

That mirrors exactly what I've done. The FD 1% RS no longer interests me with its conditions and I've hardly used the current account. My switch completes on Tuesday so your report is comforting.
  • Any idea when Nationwide might pull this deal? They've refused first account switch so setting up another burner which wont be ready with the dds payments until 2nd Oct.  ??

It is the new style with semi circular indentation and six raised dots to aid blind users.

My crystal ball says 7:29am on Monday 4th October  ;)

Nobody knows (apart from someone in Nationwide maybe).

well so far so good, got my sacrificial account and direct debits all sorted out ok and my switch date is Monday 27th so hopefully that will go ok too,   I can already see my payees for faster payments listed on the Nationwide app, as well as my 4 direct debits (Halifax credit card, Paypal, Post office savings and Santander credit card) so fingers crossed for Monday
