I'm doubtful whether the PayPal DD has been set up properly though, but it's not an issue as it was only on there for this offer!1 -

Both my wife and I had intended waiting for ten days (the promised payment timeframe) after our switching dates and then raising official complaints because of the £25 shortfall in our payments.
Unfortunately ;-) , as Colsten has pointed out, Nationwide have now paid the missing amounts into our respective accounts which rather scuppers any attempt at compensation claims.
Overall, I'm quite impressed with the speed and efficiency of the Nationwide offer and because they corrected their "member/non-member" blunder so quickly.
I wish there were some other bank switching offers that we were eligible for as we have plenty of spare accounts lying around! There seems to be loads around at the moment but we are barred from these others because we have received switching incentives from them all in the too recent past. Very frustrating!!0 -
My switch went through yesterday, Friday. I’m hoping to get the text saying I qualify and the £125 shortly after. Assume that will be Monday now?!1

If same as my Friday switch, IIRC probably Tuesday for the £££s2

Unfortunately though, as Shedman has pointed out, my wife and I's heavy participation in the Santander/Amazon RAF bonanza means we wouldn't be eligible to receive Santander's latest £130 switching offer.
I do get the feeling that some folk in a similar position to us, may be trying their luck with this offer anyhow to see if they sneak a payment past Santander's checking process. Nothing ventured nothing gained!2 -
I did the Nationwide switch - thank you to all those who posted on here. I initially got the £100 which was fine, that’s all I expected then out of the blue I got an extra £25. I haven’t got another Nationwide account, but closed one about a year ago.
Anyway, all my direct debits and standing orders went over fine. All my previous payees as well. I wanted to send money to one, it said I had to use a card reader, which i didn’t have. If I did have one for the old account, it’s been binned months or years ago. So, I order one on Friday just gone (estimated 5 days delivery).
I still needed to send money, so I phone Saturday. Told they don’t do bank transfers at the weekend, I have to go in branch. I live 15 miles from a branch, and didn’t have the time to go there on Saturday anyway. She unhelpfully suggests I go there in the week, or phone on Monday.
I phone today. My money transfer is REFUSED because it is non-essential. I wanted to buy some premium bonds with my Halifax accounts and because of Covid, they won’t do anything.
I had every intention of staying with them, but not now.
Absolutely livid with them. My only choice until the card reader arrives is to withdraw £250 a day until I empty my account.0 -
Have you got a card reader for Natwest/RBS or Coop or Barclays? They can all be used for your Nationwide account1
