Just wanted to do a loan update.
Borrowed 8000 at Christmas - this was to be ready to buy a car. Car prices are crazy (like everything) so Mechanic hasn't found anything.
I spent 1000ish of it on car insurance and rabbit insurance.
Paid 7000 into my house savings.
Current balance of loan is -7032
It was over 48 months and due to over payments I have 42 months left. I should have 44. I have paid off almost a 1000 pounds of it, It costs about 20 a month in interest.
Part of me wants to pay it back. However another part of me- the part sitting in the tip queue when my car wouldn't start thinks having the money is important. I love my car but...........And I like the challenge of paying it off.
I am going to give it another 2 months. Till the 1st of June. Then review.
Nevertheless she persisted.4 -
That’s great progress on the loan.Your mum sounds like she’s had trust issues from a long time ago even when she was well and younger and has made her views and influence known which might be why you feel aggrieved as it supports her view.Conservatory progress sounds amazing. XSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x2 -
I just sat and had a cup of tea in the conservatory, watching the fish and listening to the birds. It was so lovely. First time in maybe 6 years?
food delivery is coming early. XXNevertheless she persisted.4 -
Brilliant news that you’re enjoying the conservatory.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I was pondering buying an Alexa for it................
Hmmm.
I use the one in my room and the kitchen all the time. When I was working in there I had to move (!!) the kitchen one.... It would feel so indulgent.
They are on special and the posh one is "only" 25 quid... Or I could get the 3rd generation one for 22................
I think I will get the 22 quid one. I don't need a bells and whistles one.
Food came early, i had the most awful tummyache - Baileys in cocoa last night may be the culprit plus some dehydration, the last 48 hours have been hard for all sorts of reasons.
All put away and caddy bags full of food binned. plus a pile of plastic to go in the bin. Makes me feel ill but there is little I can do at the moment.
xx

This will sound a silly question, but what do you use the Alexa for? I kind of understand they exist, but couldn't really see how it would save me doing anything but writing a shopping list and presumably there is more to it than that!

Buffster~~As you know I am in pain most of the time & am sometimes really scunnered.
I think the big difference is that I force myaself out of the house, do my wee shift at the foodbank, go to the physio blah blah.
Is there anywhere your mum could go to mix even once a week?
It would make such a difference for her & to you xxx
