  • Unfortunately I think I am one of those people who has a stressy tummy. I underestimate the amount of stress I am under, one of my work friends really told me off before we broke up as I was in her words "working yourself into the ground"

Like just now sitting here, Mum is going to speak to one of my sisters on skype so I need to go somewhere else, I have just had a late lunch with her so will go do jobs in the kitchen (I can today for the first time sit in the conservatory tho!)  and it is the same with dinner - she hates having the plate/tray on her lap so I need to go and clear away immediately and you know how it goes, you are in the kitchen,  you see all the stuff that needs doing, you need to move or fold the washing, make lunch for tomorrow, feed the dogs, do pills, etc. I don't think I sit and digest my food properly and there is ALWAYS something that needs doing. It sounds so whiny but I don't ever relax until Mum is safely in bed. But then I frequently crash and burn with headaches, upset tummies, I had every illness going between Christmas and now. My body is definitely telling me to sort it out!

I was working on a better routine, doing pills and stuff whilst the dinner is cooking, making easy lunches, aiming to get everything done by 9pm but it doesn't always work out if I have work to do.

Anyhow, I am trying to make things better. I have had identified a cupboard in the kitchen that can be emptied and used for the regular use things instead of me ferreting about in mum's weirdly organised cupboards. And I will meal plan again, as in properly not haphazard. I feel like I have only recently admitted I am mum's carer and it needs to work differently than it is at the moment.

My gallbladder issues presented as IBS style symptoms for years until it went really manky and was completely blocked.  I’d always suffer with stress tummy issues too.  Once it blocked and gave me hideously painful attacks that left me near on passing out it all clicked that it was related.  Since I had it removed last year my life has changed, no more indigestion, upset tummy, wind, bloating.  Lots of foods I can’t eat now (but I don’t miss them).  Worth keeping a check on.  They can do a simple ultra sound to check your gallbladder out.

I would agree with your friend. Between teaching and being a carer it is a never ending non stop rollercoaster.

  • All jobs jobbed by 9pm tonight.

    Still got a headache.

Am so glad the rabbits are ok. I have ordered the dogs the speak buttons - I don't know if non dog owners will have a clue but my two are so bored that I thought I would teach them how to tell me Garden, Dinner, Walk and cuddles (which is fuss, I don't actually cuddle them!) My pets are certainly the best part of the day.

They are arriving today! I expect communication by tonight! Really my dogs are amazing (all said with tongue in cheek obviously)

The rabbits thing was totally out of context! I had to take them all to the vets. Essentially all have decent teeth (a big concern) apart from the not foster boy who has some wonky teeth but they are ok at the moment, smallest bun has bite marks, so may need to be separated BUT the vet said they were healed so it up to me..........It was good to have everyone examined and finally vaccinated. It was also good to know they are healthy and get to stroke them and see them up close!!
