  • Being a carer sucks 😩
It really does I am afraid, all these people on Children in Need who do it with a smile on their face must be on drugs I swear.
I nearly went to work today (but it shuts early on a Friday) rather than be here.

I am much calmer now - this morning I doubt anyone could have stopped me. I was genuinely planning on a room to rent (for the same money I pay mum) and working out how I could keep the rabbits etc here...........

I’m in a work carer group where the group lead said caring is rewarding - really??? I beg to differ.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

  • Oh Buffy.
You are entitled to your feelings, your opinion, and reasonable use of the house that you pay rent for.  Including a choice of TV programme.  And actual time off to enjoy yourself.
    Totally agree VCM is aces.

This just reminds me that I must organise my room for me to be able to watch TV in etc. Before Covid and when my sister still came round I spent nearly all my time in my room or at work or out out.

    Time off.

hmm. Well I have a plan, sort of for that. Once the exams are over I am going to book a weekend away. I was trying to book something for mum and I but it is hard without me driving far and her dislike of trains.

I have thought about finding an FB group but I worry my sister would find it, Heck I worry about her finding me here, tho she isn't poor enough for here!!

And also I think some people do enjoy it? And perhaps don't have as difficult customers as we do?

I think I am all caught up with having a difficult relationship with mum before all this, I thought I had made my peace with that but kicks my !!!!!! every so often

Big hugs Buffy. I don’t know how any of you carers do it day in and day out. It’s relentless for you all.

I think you, Sun Addict and all the other carers are the inspiration xx

  • Morning

Definitely not inspiring anything today, have woken up with the worst tummy ache probably due to drinking Baileys and Ice before bed!! Need to go to the Chemist. Must "do" something today. Am a bit fed with the fish tank situation. I can't get it level. Plus I need to get rid of the old stand.... which I can't move on my own - well not again since that and the tank are how I did my back.

I did want to try and use it for storage..........

    Any how best get on.
