Ah Mothers. so great. And then so not great.
The thing with being a grown up is there are always things to be done. Sorted, put away moved on, washed, dried, answered, paid for, listened to.
Even tho today was far more relaxing it was still fairly busy........but the new Bond film is really good - not seen the end yet tho.
I have had a snowball, which I LOVE.
I opened a Christmas savings account, to pay 31 pounds in each month. I am not putting into general savings in January. I need to recover from Christmas. I want to pay the CC off and then have a no spend January. I will make a more detailed plan for that.
I shall make another Snowball. And maybe have a mince pie and cream..........What the hell!Nevertheless she persisted.2 -

After two snowballs, I decided to be brave and do a how much can I borrow thing on the Hally fax.
I know they are not 100% accurate.
But let me have a little bit of joy for a minute.
With my current savings/wages/outgoings
I could borrow 211,000.
This would mean I could get a 1 bedroom flat in one of the places I would like to live (and have more options in places I don't want to live) . It would all be expensive but I wouldn't have to give up the idea of having my own place and keeping the dogs etc. The current cost of the mortgage is very similar to the rent I pay. And I got myself in a bit of a state the other day, Mum is so frail and really needs more care than I can give. The chances of her going to a home are in my view quite high. I am so lucky I have kept my savings. They are my future and the more I save whilst I care for her the better, Ideally I want a house, but at least I have options. I am tired now.
Nevertheless she persisted.4 -
I know this sounds slightly ridiculous but I am proud of myself for getting through the last week without there being any major arguments and difficulties. I did have a nice day yesterday and I have made a lot of progress on the conservatory this week, I know what needs to be done and I feel like I can get a handle on this house and caring for mum.
Today's list
1. Move the washing around. X2
2. Tip X 2
3. Rabbits cleaned out - big job!
4. Indoor animals - smaller job.
5. Hoover
6. Maybe sort out the remaining presents I need to give out.
Now if I could just stop watching Pretty Little Liars..........Nevertheless she persisted.4 -
Well done Buffy
It is good to have a plan - & a list! I am scattergunning so i need to focus on one thing at a time. I was going to make soup but need more red peppers - they are essential in lentil and red pepper soup i believeLBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

And so you should feel proud…..despite your self doubts you are doing the very best you can in difficult circumstances and are making a difference to the lives of people around you and still have a very real chance of getting your own place. I know you want a house but realistically- how many people move into their dream home first time around…..once you get a step onto the property ladder you can work up to what you really, really want. Or maybe you’ll realise what you settle for turns out to be what you really, really wanted after all…….
The plans sound realistic 👏👏👏 I’ve no doubt you’ll make them happen 👍👍January spends - £587.585
