DontWorryBeHappy27 said:I had a prompt reply from my MP who spoke in the debates in favour of the bill . My MP seems to get the added debt costs issue too.
The minister at the time who approved this bill was Rishi Sunak which later was in the Queens speech to make it law.
As this is the baby of Robert Jenrick, he would be very foolish to listen to the parking industry and ignore the voters ...

I think my lot have done all they can.
Six (individual, bespoke, not copy and pasted) responses to the consultation completed by five family members and a friend, and three complaints to two MPs, all asking for them to be forwarded to RJ and Sir Gregg.I married my cousin. Just about 4 hours left for anyone wanting to give this one last push with an up-to-the-wire response to the MHCLG Consultation. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

A positive response has just come in from Sir Graham Brady MP and chairman of the 1922 committee. That makes 3 positive responses from 3 MP's contacted by family members. Also two online surveys completed and details of 5 live cases, complete with (redacted) evidence submitted by email. MHCLG have confirmed they will consolidate all submissions for consideration in the consultation process. My study looks like a bomb has exploded in it - paperwork everywhere!6

Hi everyone,
I cannot tell you how difficult I've found getting the time to do this over the course of the last couple of weeks (@ParkingMad gave me a nudge around then and I've been trying to get this completed since - thanks so much for the nudge @ParkingMad !), but last night I got up to speed on this thread and woke up super early to get the consultation questionnaire completed and submitted. Done now!
With that said, I note a lot of people referencing evidence - I've written about my experiences in court, but do you all mean that we need to send an actual evidence pack and full description of the cases to the email address provided? That's tight, but I can try.
In the meantime, am planning to use @JenniD's excellent letter to her MP as a template and will send something similar to mine very soon.
Thanks so much for all the effort, everyone - have nudged people around me. If you can think of anything else that I should do, please let me know.
Warm regards.6 -

Well done! I don't think there is a need to include transcripts etcetera, but stating facts known to you is actually a witness statement. Quoting case numbers etcetera is also useful.
I think that's all you need to add in your complaint to your MP.
My Lovely Cousin mentioned the fact that several heads of parking companies have criminal convictions, and it cannot be right that the DVLA release personal data to a man who obtained a motorist's address then threatened to rape his wife without carrying out CRB checks (or whatever it's called now).
Don't forget, Patrick Troy was taking indecent photos of women when he was the head of the BPA, and is now a convicted sex offender.
