Thankful for DS1 getting his Masters place finally confirmed, for DD's job changing from a FTC (ending 07/22) to a permanent role, for ds2's choice of glasses being fully covered by the voucher and for ds3 not needing glasses. Today I am grateful for dc having a clean bill of health from the dentist, for my filling being quick and easy, for a bumper crop of pots and sweet pots in my liddle veg box, for the roof no longer leaking, for swedish glace ice cream.

NSD 4.
I had a very productive day at work - less distractions with both OH and DS our of the house all day. I also received an email from TfL to say they’ve processed a refund for my 3 Oyster cards. Feels like I found £18.30 down the back of my sofa. As soon as I see it in my account, it’ll be transferred straight into a mortgage OP.
Grateful for a pause in the rain for a walk, tasty leftover curry for lunch, and a focused work day.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸3 -

A sunny day. Tagged along with next door neighbours on their dog walk. Didn't want to venture out on my own as wobbly legs, they only go @1-1.5 mile, so thought I'd manage that ok, unlike hubby's 5 mile circuits! Had a lay down after.
Did all the ironing & watched the last half of a series, then did a little knitting. Pruned 6 branches off the blackcurrants (as advised by Mr Don, on last week's G World prog), then harvested a tub full of gooseberries. Plenty more still to ripen further. Washed the dishes after tea, now unpicking a zip.
Grateful for a walk, the swelling in my face reducing, getting little jobs doneUse it up, wear it out

It didn't rain so have been in the yard. Lots of emptying large containers and refilling them with a mixture of three different soils, sieving out the stones and weeds. Oddment buckets of stones gathered and sieved. One set of metal shelves painted, using up the remains of a can of paint (they are definitely older then DS1 so > 36 yo - if they don't fall apart I may buy the proper paint next year).
All the old edging stones (the ones mum has had me digging out of the garden, painting, using, taking out again over the past 4 years) are lined up on either side of the polytunnel frame with filled 50 l pots across them (so frame is held firmly in place). Could only move one or two edging stones at a time before having to do something less strenuous. Ditto for the 50 l pots, even using the dolly truck.
I have spent a little bit of money. Mum went out this afternoon (took the birthday card by taxi and a present for an end of the month birthday). I have tried to keep going today but have had frequent half hour breaks.
Grateful for hot showers, most of the dirt coming off and some of the paint (more bits to do - I should be back to normal by the end of the week, no more blue streaks), books, games and puzzles. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6
