How is your sock knitting going, ditty? I think you said he has big feet, so I imagine they take a while to complete!

No money spent yesterday, not a lot of work done. It rained every time I set foot outside and it's all shuffling - move this bit across so that can be moved a few inches like that. Filled two buckets with water which had gathered and sorted mum's tv.
She had nearly 'chopped it up in the middle of the night', she couldn't hear it or see it. I have tried to suggest she has a slightly larger telly - she doesn't like large tvs. After some exploration I managed to find and switch on the subtitles - not sure about the sound as I could hear it in my room.
She might have been jabbing at the wrong button, I'd had to get her back out of prime the night before and the night before that she'd got a blank screen on DS2's tv and asked me to ask me to sort it out after pressing several buttons. Not sure if the ire is because of her general dissatisfaction with life or because I am refusing to be a target any more and just keep leaving the room when she starts.
Gratitudes - staying under the bedclothes until lunch (I was writing a long post on another thread) and feeling much better for it, persevering with outside work but having the sense to come in before I got soaked, enjoying a new little computer game (may be slightly obsessed - was dreaming about solving a totally unrelated house problem by gathering game objects having my favourite yoghurts in the fridge. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -

So, my dear turtles, we are 1 week into the month and are already famous on radio 2How are you getting on with Lights! and Camera! and Action!?For me, being on holiday from school, and then spending the first week of the month away was just soooo goooood. Outside a lot, tramping across fields and through various types of orchard. Lots of nature to look at. And we visited no shops apart from food/coffee ones, so came home with nowt extra (apart from a Spot book for dgs2) and therefore spent little. So I think that it fulfilled all three parts of the challengeNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!6

Hugs @ditty1234, good to hear progress is being made, each little step forward is a positive sign. Chin up @mothernerd , I agree she isn't wanting you to leave!
Glad I mentioned you all in my shout out @apple_muncher, trying to spread a little light to you all 😁
Felt a bit on edge this morning, took a while for the painkillers to start working. Felt more 'normal' this afternoon, so dug up the shallots I'd planted & cut all the sweet peas (hubby took them to the old lady next door - she loves them! Hoping we get lots more growing now. Admin frog completed, hope middle son gets his bursary now. Put black bag of craft things I'd made into their boxes in the shed, so can see the windowsill in my bedroom now lol. Hung washing out on the line & washed up after tea.
Grateful for half an hour outside after being stuck indoors all week, a nice phonecall with my brother, getting frog doneUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Today I am grateful for a good workout, for a walk with dc, for a smidgen of tidying creating some space, for good coffee, for lavender.

Hugs @ditty1234. It’s good to hear your DS has made positive progress and that things are going in the right direction.
Home all day today. The rain was off and on. DS, OH, and I pottered about the house. We did a jigsaw, played a couple of games, watched a bit of telly. I also vacuumed and cleaned downstairs, and made dinner tonight. DS also did a bit of ‘vacuuming’. A crumb at a time. We also went through his toy box together to decide what should stay or go. I suppose 2 things to go is better than 0.OH suggested a old McDonald at lunchtime but we decided it would be better for us all to eat at home. We used up the last of a jar of pesto and had pasta! And bagged NSD 3.We also braved the rain for a short walk after dinner - a soggy 15 minutes. But nice to get some fresh air.Grateful today for quality time with my boys, games, and the rain watering our garden and keeping our country lush green.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸7 -
Morning to all turtles
Achieved lots of lightness yesterday as i spent a few hours sorting and decluttering. I finally tackled my plastic storage cupboard. I have loads of plastic tubs but not all have lids so i have sorted them all out and only kept tubs that have lids. Also put some excess ones in the charity bag. While i was on a roll, i sorted through one wardrobe and put about 10 items of clothing in the charity bag. Also found some random stuff for the December festival - gift bags, unused wrapping paper and tins which have also gone in the charity bag - filled 3 bags so far. Just fed up of having so much stuff everywhere!
Had to break my hoped for NSD as had no veg (gave it to DD2 to take back to uni house) so walked the long way round to little Sainz so i achieved 10k steps
I did some work for my new very PT role (2 hours a week) including trying to make sure i get set up on the payroll!
This morning i have caught up on some of my self employment. Need to log into FT job soon; counting the days till i go on leave - 8 working days left....
wishing everyone a good day

Afternoon turtles. Back from a long weekend in Cornwall, it was so much fun. Didn't spend too much apart from petrol and food but even that wasn't excessive. I did buy a large rucksack for work, at the moment I have a medium one and have to bring a second bag for my lunch. When I start my new job I want to walk/cycle so having just the one bag will be much easier to manage.
I thought there would be some progress on case handovers when I logged on today but there's nothing. I feel bad for the kids I work with as it's not fair on them to just be an afterthought, but there's only so much I can do, I'm reliant on others who aren't doing what they need to do.
Anyway, today should be NSD 3. I had a good swim this morning and about to go out for a walk before lunch.
I have a poorly aquatic frog, I'm not sure whether I need to put her out of her misery, currently putting medicine I the tank but will have to make the call soon. Unfortunately there are no vets who deal with frogs nearby so it'll be a matter of doing the deed ourselves, I'm hoping she will improve soon.6 -
I have spent (boo!) so sticking on NSD4. Needed gravy powder, a crate of milk, and a loaf of bread- so a low spend, but was stuff that was empty shelved on the weekend. Hopefully that will be the spending over for a couple of days. Also made a dentist appt for one kid (lost filling), and eye test appointments for three kids - all on different days, but all before school starts back.Grateful for ...being epic at diary management, metallic blue fingernails, A level results tomorrow.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
