Morning all.  Weather not looking brilliant at the moment.  It's a bit grey and damp at the moment but hopefully it'll brighten up later.  I need to do some washing but as I can't stretch up to hang it on the line and DH is at golf I'll just have to put it on the airer but am going to stand it outside so it still at least gets air dried.  Will do a couple of loads today and probably a couple tomorrow to it all done - where does it all come from!  After all there are only 2 of us here!

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
    L - beans on toast - HEB; F
    D - low fat burger, chips, mushrooms, onions - S; F; 0.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - burger 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  Welcome to all the newbies and oldies.  Sorry to hear about your gain bubbs, really don't know what to suggest really which I know isn't that helpful!

Had a fairly relaxed weekend as it was raining a lot here!  Happy to report a 2lb loss this week and star week has just arrived so hopefully any additional bloating should be gone by next week.  Went for a run this morning, managed 2.5k before the humidity got to me, so walked the other 2.5k.  Will try and throw some weights around this evening too as I've realised that by doing more strength training, my joints aren't clicking / aching quite as much as they usually would so it must be helping!  Had usual ff yogurt, with strawberries this morning, lunch will be beans on toast with some cherry tomatoes mixed in a bit of cheese grated on top and dinner is a creamy chicken, gammon and leek "thing" made with some Philadelphia and probably served with some rice and broccoli.

Hope everyone has a good day!

@bubbs another really slow loser here….I think it’s my age ☹️ I did lose over a stone with sw a few years ago, but it was really slow and I would often go up despite following plan and keeping a track of calories too  just in case! I’m trying again now and it’s so frustrating, but I know if I stick with it eventually it will drop, but I do tend to go 2 steps forward and 1 step back until I get where I need to be. No advice at all, but I feel your pain 😬

SW definitely seems to work better when you have a lot to lose. If you only have a relatively small amount or close to target it seems to slow up. That's been my experience. It took me weeks to lose the last few pounds to target and now I'm hovering at the top of range it's not easy to lose the 3 to 6 lbs to get me into safer territory!!  What I do know is that if I was to say s*d it and go back to eating (and drinking😉) all and everything I'd be a lot fatter than I am now! 🤣 I'd also be a lot less healthy which is definitely the plus side of SW.

Do you do Park Run ruby? I noticed that it started up again last weekend. Isn't that 5K? 🤔 Well done on your loss! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I took some fish out late last night and only realised this morning it was haddock when I thought it was salmon. DH has an evening event today so we'll have to eat earlier than usual.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- baked haddock (P), mash with onions (F,S), runner beans, broccoli, tomato, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- 0

I don't maman but it's been on the list to try as there's one about a 10 minute walk from me so easy to get to.  I'm all signed up and have been for years but never got up the courage to go along and do it.  If I can get back to doing 5k consistently then I might give it a go in a couple of weeks 🤔  And thank you, I seem to maintain for a couple of weeks, then gain a little then lose that and a little bit more and if that pattern works then it works!  I agree that the closer you get to a target weight, the slower it seems to come off, no idea what that's all about but it's frustrating!

I don't mind being slow if it goes, I was a target member for 3years with 51/2 stone loss, I lost 3stone in 3 months took me another 9 to lose the rest.

Was still in target till this last lockdown and was 11lb out of target but not been off plan, now since I have been back at group last 6weeks or so I am heavier than when I went back 😡 yes I know I have been away but apart from that bang on plan.

Breakfast was melon, lunch sausage tarts all syn free

That’s very true, I have a stone to lose….every time I battle it down and then relax a bit it gradually creeps back on until I suddenly can’t fasten my pants anymore and have to start again 😖 In an ideal world I would live on chips, chocolate, crisps and coffee, but here I am being all healthy. Your meals look really good @bubbs and your meal plans sounds great @maman.
So far I had porridge for breakfast, mixed fruit for lunch (melon, apple, half a pear, half a plum, handful of strawberries). No idea what I’ll make after work yet, possibly Cajun chicken and rice with veg.

You must be so frustrated Bubbs- looks as if you’re doing everything right.
Yesterday was a completely spontaneous day…we went to a National Trust place. I had ice cream and ds brought his home made curry around - a lentil dhaal which sounded Sw friendly and a Korma which was from a book called The skinny curry book ( or something similar) It had boiled and puréed cashew nuts to make it creamy but no cream plus lots of butternut squash. I’m not sure how many syns but certainly not as many as a ‘proper Korma’ twas very nice. I had a small corner of naan bread. I’ll have gone over my syns but should be ok over the week 👍
    Today
breakfast. Hea toast, tablespoon of chocolate spread 4 syns and sliced strawberries
dinner - ham, cucumber, tomato, hea cheese
tea - chicken stir fry with sw fried rice
snacks - banana, nectarine, satsuma, strawberries and apple ff yoghurt
    Total syns 4
At the NT place I must have fed half the insects around. I’ve been bitten and my ankle is the size of a football…..can’t get hold of the GP but went to the chemist - got some different antihistamine cream and am sitting with an ice pack and elevated foot 😏 I’ll give it another day and will try again at GP or get in touch it’s out of hours as I’ve had bites like this before and they’ve alway ended up infected. Hope i poi send the little bug🐛er.
