Sorry to hear your shoulder is still sore @joedenise. Did they estimate how long it will take to get better?

Is the curry a Slimming Eats recipe? 🤔

Unfortunately hospital didn't give any indication.  Quite honestly they were pretty useless!

I don't really follow a recipe for my curries!  I make my own curry powder mix (I make up a decent batch which makes probably 10-12 portions).  I just soften some onions and once softened a bit I add garlic & ginger (and sometimes chopped chilli if we want it a bit hotter).  Then add a couple Tbs of curry powder mix and cook off; add a can of tomatoes and a pinch of sweetener and cook for a while before adding cooked chicken to warm through.  Quite often I'll stir through some spinach as well.

If it's a bit thick then I'll add a bit of stock but usually the tomatoes is enough.  Can make it a creamy curry by adding some of the curry sauce to some natural fat free yoghurt and then stir it through at the end but definitely needs to be done off the heat to stop it curdling!

Will have a look at the Slimming Eats chicken curry.  Her butter chicken is good and I've done that a few times as it's fairly low syn (think it's 2.5 syns per portion).

I use the Mother Butter Chicken recipe from Mowgli. I leave out the oil, use frylight, sub the yogurt for fat free and don't add butter at the end. It's still lovely even without adding butter and it doesn't take long to make.

Thanks for the recipe @CRANKY40. I keep all the spices except fenugreek but I don't suppose a quarter teaspoon makes much difference. It sounds like a spice mix like yours @joedenise.

Shame about the gain @bubbs. Let's hope this week is better. One meal shouldn't scupper you. 🤔

I guessed you'd post when the end of term came around @TakeItEazy. Sorry to hear your DH is still suffering. I looked at the school website. Was it you singing in the purple top? ☺️

maman the spice mix I make is very similar except that I grind the whole spices rather than using ready ground as I think it gives a better flavour.  I don't use fenugreek in my mix but do actually have some in my spice rack!  I use a few ready ground spices that I haven't got the whole spices - like paprika.

Sorry bubbs I didn't see your post until I came back on.  Really can't understand why you keep gaining; your food definitely looks SW friendly.  Maybe you need a break and just eat what you want for a while and then get back on plan.  Having a couple of weeks without worrying about SW may be enough to sort it out.  I do hope so.

You can never tell the syns in breakfast out @bubbs especially the sausages. But as you'll be on plan for the rest of the week then you should easily rein it back.

I think the best test will come when you go Saturday to Saturday with the take away instead of picky tea. 🤔
