Morning all, been busy this morning!  The butter chicken is cooked; just waiting for it to cool down so that I can portion it up.  Will be taking one lot with us to have this weekend.  The rest into the freezer.

The beef bourguignon is in the oven; it's been in there for about 2 hours so far and will check it shortly to see how much longer it might need - I'll probably cook it for another hour and then leave to cool to portion up for the freezer.  Will also take some with us at DH's request - hadn't planned to but it's easy to reheat in the van and just cook some potatoes and veg to go with it.

It's definitely hot again this morning!  The forecast said it would be cooler but it definitely doesn't feel like it!

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - LO couscous; salad - P; S; F
    D - sausages, mini roasties, veg - S; F; 2

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
    Syns - 2

Have a good day everyone and drink plenty of fluids - we really need it this weather.

Good morning all – it is just still morning!

I have just been thinking if the lad who is isolating tests positive I will have to cancel my time off at the start of august, hopefully it won’t come to that

Walked the dog at 11pm round the park (the park I open my gate onto) in shorts and a vest – it was so hot still!

Made the crustless quiche last night and had with the salad – lovely. Might do a potato salad to mix things up tonight

B – fruit and fibre ss milk

L – pot noodle or tuna salad

D – crustless quiche salad potatoes

4no strawberry bonbons – not sure what happened there!

Welcome back milann.  I notice that you've synned an extra slice of bread for breakfast yesterday.  I'm assuming you made your butty with 800g WM bread - did you know there are a couple of 800g loaves that you can have 2 slices of as your HEB?  There's one from Tesco which is Nevilles wholemeal (I'm not keen on that one but it's OK for toast!) or Morrison's own brand 800g WM medium sliced loaf which is what I use most of the time and makes a decent sandwich (although does tend to fall apart if you make bacon sarnie!  In which case I tend to toast the bread so that doesn't happen.

Have just finished portioning up my batch cooking from this morning.  The butter chicken made 4 "dinner" sized portions plus 2 "lunch" sized portions and the beef bourguignon made 6 "dinner" sized portions.  As I said we'll be taking 2 portions of each away in the motorhome with us so another few HM ready meals in the freezer for next month.

Good to see you posting again milann. You know SW works. You've got 2 good menus there. Keep planning like that and you'll be fine. 🤞

Obviously you can syn bread (or use lower syn bread like denise said) but are these sandwiches for work? Personally I'd rather use syns for something else and have quiche or pasta or rice salad as a portable meal. Just a thought.

I've been out for lunch today. I was fairly restrained. Bruschetta starter and a Greek salad with lemon chicken for main. I had wine but no pudding. Syns would have been mostly in dressing and 3 slices of baguette for the starter.

Plenty of SW friendly stuff in if I want it but not hungry yet. Back on plan tomorrow. ☺️

Is it still too hot to eat much with you bubbs? I was wondering if your DH didn't want chips. 🤔 It's very slightly cooler here and (again) we're told rain is coming. We'll see.

    Today's food has been

    Weetabix for breakfast

Quorn ham and tomato roll and a yogurt for lunch

Quorn Mozzarella and Pesto Escalope with salad and coleslaw for tea

Snacks have been a banana, a handful of raspberries and some more of the naughty biscuits I don't want to waste ,they are nearly gone now though 😊

Im working tomorrow which is my danger time, I work in a hospital and there is nothing bettter than hospital toast for your morning break. I'm thinking I will take some weetabix with me tomorrow to have instead but I've done this before and then ended up having toast as well 🙄. I will also get some exercise tomorrow, I walk to get the bus from my local train station so 15 minutes in the morning then I walk from work into town to get the bus home which takes  another half an hour
Im off to bed now,I hope everyone has a good day tomorrow 😊
