Thanks for the welcome everyone. My new group leader has told me that because I was at goal when I stopped going to my meeting I will be given a week to get back to goal and if I do I won't have to pay..... I think I'm going to be paying because I'm not going to lose a stone by Monday 😀

Morning all, looks like it's going to be another scorcher today but it seems a little cooler than it was this time yesterday.

DH is off to golf shortly so I'll get on with some housework, although can't do too much as my shoulder is still quite sore and can't lift my arm above my head but at least I should be able to tidy and put the hoover round!

    Today's plan:

    B - stuffed mushroom - P; S; F; HEA2
    L - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, corn on the cob, coleslaw, beans - P; S; F (this was originally planned for Friday but with going away again I can't do it in the Motorhome so decided to swap dinners!)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - reduced fat mozzarella
    Syns - LTL mayo 2

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all!  Welcome Onebrokelady, I'm sure you'll be back at target soon.  I'm about 10lb heavier than I was at the end of 2019 so trying to slowly get back there myself.

Sorry to hear about the problems with the walk Coxy, know how much you were looking forward to it.  Fingers crossed you can get to Cyprus without too much hoop jumping.

Went for a 5k walk again this morning and there were a lot more people around than earlier on this week.  Still can't bring myself to run or do any actual exercise but I know the walks are helping.  Haven't had breakfast yet but will probably be some ff yogurt with strawberries and granola when I can be bothered to drag myself downstairs.  Lunch is another chicken salad and then dinner is jacket potatoes.  Was supposed to have some leftover chilli with them from the freezer but to be honest think I might want tuna instead.  DH never checks the meal plan I put on the fridge anyway so he won't know what he's missing 😂

Hope you all have a good day and stay hydrated and in the shade - already 22 degrees here and only going to get warmer 🥵

Sigh here too klew! My DGD tested positive so now both she and her mum are isolating. DD is still negative but isolating because of the child in her class. DGD only went along for the PCR test with her mum just in case . Fortunately she's symptom free at the moment so not feeling unwell. I went to Sainsbury's to pick them up some treats and some other shopping. It was the most comfortable I'd felt all week in the air conditioning. I picked up some YS cod too so well worth a trip.

Probably more people getting out walking early to avoid the heat ruby. We were promised some thundery showers this afternoon but none materialised.

Ooh KFC on a Wednesday denise! 😋

I know I always write my large glass of grapefruit squash down on my menu for the day. It's how I start every day but this week I've been drinking loads of that all through the day, and berry squash and just plain water! Shelves looked pretty empty of squash and lollies this afternoon in Sainsbury's.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), 2 fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
    L- ham (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), beetroot and cornichons (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 parmesan
    Syns- 0

I used breast of chicken instead of the usual thighs and they were very nice - really soft and moist;  have to admit I was a bit concerned they might be a bit dry as easy to overcook.  Definitely makes a change having a Fakeaway mid week!

I've been drinking loads of lime cordial - much prefer it to most squashes.  Not allowed grapefruit so not even tried grapefruit squash but would imagine it's less sweet than most squashes.

Have chopped up some chicken thighs to marinade overnight.  Going to make butter chicken to take away with us at the weekend but there will also be enough to freeze some for another time - hoping to make about 6 portions so 4 for the freezer.

Also have some stewing steak out and going to make some beef bourguignon.  Hoping for 6 portions again but all for the freezer.

Just need to get DH to do some chopping for me tonight as he's out playing golf again tomorrow.  Going to need quite a few onions!

Which pate is that bubbs. It looks good. 😋

No promised thunderstorm here but disappointing that it didn't clear the air. ☹️

Shame you can't have grapefruit denise. You're right, it is the least sweet squash that I've found. Even when the weather isn't sweltering I'm thirsty first thing and it's a good syn free alternative to the fruit juice I used to have.
