I’ll double check. I’ve just called CCBC as it’s been almost two months and no information regarding the consented set aside. They said they have no record of receiving it amazingly. Only the payment. Despite it being in my sent item box. Ridiculous.
Well , if they require a filled in DQ N180 , email it to the ccbcaq email address

If your local court wants a copy , email it to them too

I’ve received the directions questionnaire from their solicitor and they’ve elected to mediate. Does it put me in a bad light of I say no?

No, absolutely not, you are not obliged to accept mediation.  It is in the guide written by Bargepole: -
IMPORTANT - KNOW WHAT YOU MUST DO AND BY WHEN!

Here's a summary from bargepole of what happens when, what you MUST do in time, re the paperwork & deadlines:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5546325/court-claim-procedure-updated-october-2016/p1
It states this for A1: -
    • A1 = NO to mediation (they want the whole amount, you want to pay them nothing, so no scope for mediation. This will not go against you)

Thank you. They are so manipulative. “The claimant has elected to mediate in an attempt to settle this matter amicably….” A shame you don’t issue PCNs amicably!

Re the one the CCBC says was not received, they have had email problems this Summer and their attitude has been absolutely shocking, blaming people for not knowing they should have received an acknowledgement email that no-one would know would arrive!  People have got CCJs as a result of the CCBC losing defences so this time, it seems they've lost your application despite taking payment for it.

Forward your sent item and tell the CCBC what you think of their well-documented issues with losing defences and applications due to a failed email system, and remind them when you paid for this application and ask that they allocate it sharpish, especially given this is a set aside with consent so doesn't even need a hearing.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Coupon-mad there was no apology! He said maybe you’ve submitted the form before paying. I didn’t…. and actually I did get an auto response email after submitting it! Utter joke. It was the fact he was initially saying to me “well we haven’t received it, there’s nothing on the system here”. I was like hold on a minute. I can see it here in my sent items! It was sent on this date at this time to this email address, so how don’t you have it?! Absolutely ridiculous. They are more than happy to keep you in a queue of 50 people each time you call and to take your payment!

Maybe it is not the system, sometimes it is, as our IT dept. at work (when I worked) were fond of saying, PICNIC - problem in chair not in computer.  I won't say what I was fond of replying.

Maybe so , but if they fixed the online defence box and extended the maximum characters limit , plus fixed the formatting issues , we might not be in this pickle

Plus I don't see why they don't change it to allow a defence PDF to be uploaded and maybe add a box for that comment to be made , or similar ?  It's not rocket science , it's basic computing , it's also what they do when you email it !  Popla don't seem to have a problem with accepting a pdf upload !

We had one this week where the email was sent late on Sunday night , no auto receipt , yet when emailed again yesterday afternoon the auto receipt came back in a few minutes or less. Meaning it's not picnic if it's supposed to be automatic
