@Grizebeck it feels it! He tried to up his credit card limit with the bank he’s been with for 20 years and wasn’t able to. I’m not earning so it feels scary that I’ve essentially ruined his credit rating.
It may do but there far more pressing issues to deal with.
The upping of the credit limit may not have been the result of the ccj. It could have simply been his internal score and credit utilisation

Prior to this his sore was 999. We didn’t the usual buying petrol etc on a credit card and paying off in full each month so I presumed it was the CCJ.

I haven't read back through the thread; against whom was the CCJ issued; why, if it was you, is it affecting someone else's credit score/mark/record/file/history?

@Le_Kirk I parked at Gloucester Quays when they changed the limit from 3 to 2 hours during Covid. We hadn’t changed the logbook of the car from our old address. It went to court without us realising & my husband is the registered keeper.

If you didn't transfer liability to you (the driver) then it was him (the keeper) that was taken to court (not you) so it was him who got the CCJ. That'll be why it affected his credit "score".

@Jenni_D it was already on his credit score as a CCJ when we became aware of it. So there wasn’t an opportunity to transfer liability I don’t think?

The "score" of 999 is an irrelevant nunber provided by credit reference agencies. Its a marketing tool  banks etc dont use that

@Grizebeck the point I was trying to make is we’ve never had any issues before with getting credit, mortgages etc until this.

I was wanting advice on whether it was worth writing to the courts again, given the timeframe or not to bother.
