Today I am grateful for appointments going well, for my book, for living in rather a quiet area, for getting a little work done, for a breeze in the evening, for salted caramel magnums!

Started the morning in the completely wrong way - reading the news. Feel quite low after it. I know it has that affect on me when I’m tired so I don’t know why I looked at it so early in the day. I’m a more rational person when fully awake and fed, as I’m sure most people are.Need to work on turning my mood around now. Starting with reading this which my fellow turtles may also like:Precious Human Life'Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to have woken up.I am alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings.I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry, or think badly about others, I am going to benefit others as much as I can.'

Hope today is better for you @Idee2111.
Still on NSD#12. Went for a 5 mile walk with hubby, then sat hand stitching the two chickens if assembled the day before. Took photos of them & the other items I've made, then drafted 'my story' to go along with it for a Meet the Maker article in a local virtual shopping mall.
A rare occasion, I met up with the other support staff for a meal out. We had a good time & laughed lots.
Grateful for, finishing all I needed for the selling page, good work colleagues, a fun eveningUse it up, wear it out

Oh ditty! I remember well, when dh was a 'jobbing academic' he would get told he was teaching the seminars for X module about two weeks before they started. The end of the summer holidays was a rash of phone calls asking if he was free - it is worse if it is a .3 or .5 contract as they seem to just assume you are not doing anything else, rather than juggling a few. FE/HE is utter madness in the way it is run at the last minute, every single semester.

Today I am grateful for lots of space at the gym, for time relaxing in the sun with a book, for time in the paddling pool (and for getting it emptied, dried and inside before the nasty weather comes), for my neighbour letting me use her washing machine, for dyeing dc's hair again, for Whisky Galore on the telly.
