Met an ex colleague for a walk this morning. It's the first time we've met up since I left last November. It was so good to think I'm no longer a part of the issues continuing that were there before I left!
A bit of a stressful moment. As I was meeting the colleague in the next village, I decided to take 6 sacks of the bonfire remnants to the dump, only to discover they only have containers there for recycling at the moment! As I was leaving, I had to slam on my brakes, due to another car tearing along the road, & a couple of sacks fell over! Went to town to find the dump there closed for lunch! Headed to mum's for a sandwich, then returned to the dump. Thankfully it was open, but the skips there are below ground level & I had to heave the sacks over some railings, so have strained something in my shoulder. Will have to clear up the spillage in the car tomorrow.
Took mum shopping & to collect her prescription. A customer popped over to be pinned into a jacket after tea, washed up, then watched 2 more episodes of Virgin River & did some knitting - first time this week!
Grateful for the sacks finally getting disposed of, that I don't live south & caught up in the middle of a family argument, getting some knitting done - me timeUse it up, wear it out

evening all
nipped into town at lunch and collected parcel, bought face cream products from b00t$ - expensive even though on 3 for 2 but will last me for the rest of this year and more probably, paid c/tax at the PO. Plodded through the afternoon at work and did a top up shop at the c00p. Did a lucrative survey on prolific then went to my book group. Had a lovely eve and went for a walk afterwards while it was cool.
gratitudes - finding a lovely group of literature loving friends; calming down DD1 and helping her to sort a problem; DD2's bestie visiting her and they are having a lovely time
nite all

Still on NSD 6. And today is grocery delivery day.Ended yesterday on a better mood that I started with. Took Mum and DS to Saintberries where I bought polo shirts for DS returning to nursery. £3.50 for 3 so I bought one for each day plus a spare. Better than £5 per nursery branded T-shirt! Annoyingly I couldn’t locate my Saintberries evoucher to pay for them. Found it when I got home. Typical. I still need to get DS some plimsolls and zipper so I’ll use the evoucher towards them. After the shops, DS stayed at Mum’s and I went home for a couple of hours. OH and I made dinner and ate it in the garden while also having some good chat with our neighbours over the fence.During the day I also managed to do some of the online course I’ve been procrastinating on for ages. I’ve made the decision that this is THE week that I will finish it. Once and for all. I’m 60% of the way through it. There’s an estimated 20 hours left of it. I want to have it done and dusted by 1st August.Right, I’m away to do some now.
Have a good day turtles x

Good morning, am loving Saturdays right now, even in the middle of my holidays, which could come to an end already in a week as that's when my new job starts, a new part time contract but closer to home, I love the idea of connecting, catching up, focussing on the social and the personal, so today I shall go on a run, come home and write and use/test some of my creative toys - camera, scanner, pro audio recorder, and have a clear out of garage and just enjoy the day to myself and ds1.
First the group run though and it starts in a bit so better get a move on.
Ps and I should be able to do most of it without spending (much).Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

3 Quotes from "Make Room for What You Love" by Melissa Michaels
The home that is supposed to be our haven, our sanctuary from the chaos outside, is full to overflowing with things that drown out the peace we are craving
When we value a space in our home, we will love spending time there and taking care of it. We won't want to clutter it with random things, or overly stuff it, or neglect it by not using the space for a distinct and useful purpose
Clutter wants to take over your home and make you feel defeated. It wants you to think your house is a wreck and you are powerless to conquer it because every day it's there taunting you. Don't let your stuff control you.
(I'm quite taken with this one, it's a bit like people who give their disease a name because it's not them, it's an alien who's trying to take over)
There's an article here that's titled 'How I got rid of 1000 lbs of clutter in 4 weeks' and a little voice in my head keeps whispering 'Divorce your husband'. I've worked out that 1000 lbs is 71 st 6 lb and, to be fair he was only about 22 st of that. But then his sideboard was another big chunk not to mention all the other stuff. The records (approx 3 x 3' shelves worth and the cameras (maybe 15 at that point - darling daughter out law, who helped with the weekend of clean and declutter so that he could come out of hospital, estimated that there were about 1000 now) had already been taken to his lodgings over a period of months. When he left, his father came to collect him, and he went back to his mummy.
I'm in charge of how I feel and today I choose happiness. Have a Super Saturday

Yesterday was a slow day. I was still doing morning routine things at 2 pm. After my shower I went to get a yoghurt and a spoon to eat it with and brought my bedside trolley with me (it has the medicinal creams - I have sweat rash in places I didn't know I had, let alone get rashes there and a bite in a really awkward place). The yoghurt hit the floor (lots left for me but lots to mop up) - looking on the bright side, it happened outside my room on the laminate flooring. One more step and it would have been on the carpet - not saying it would have spoiled the carpet but cleaning up would have been harder.
I did bag up and label the accumulated stuff for the charity shop and some things that are going back to my house, hang the washing done the day before outside to dry and put a few buckets of water on the bits of the garden (backyard allotment) most in need of it.
Still no rain but it's cloudy and breezy - so maybe. Didn't take any ibuprofen and today I am really feeling it. Have used the spray today. There is lots I can do from where I am - sort out a few more books to go in the charity shop bag, make the bed slowly (bag up a pillow and a cushion in a pilowcase = one plump pillow, think about the mattress cover and the other heavy winter cover - don't want them on the bed but where can they go, layer the sheets), hoover sitting down. Smother myself in moisturising cream. Neaten up a few things. Start a new book (put the recently read pile back in order - and the ones I found that had fallen behind/ between pieces of furniture). Embroider.
Grateful for
- time to pause and think through the next steps
- being ensconced in a book nook (I have a row of books along the window sill and the full height bookcase at the bottom of the bed)
- ibuprofen spray (it's taken a while but it's easing the pain nowMy mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
NSD No 11 (I think. I'm beginning to lose track of what I'm doing!)
We've been walking between three and four miles each day which is a start of getting a bit of exercise. I'm feeling tired today so I'm going to spend the morning catching up with the chores and the afternoon doing a bit of decluttering. I've got a few places in mind. Later on I'm going to have a little bit of a spa.
I thought it would be a bit cooler today but it's getting hot already.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
7 NSD days that must be the worst ever, and will probably be spending tomorrow and Monday as am going to get ds1 from uni house, probably staying over as I want to go swimming in the sea and his uni town is closer, than the 3 hours from here.
Did a 7m run so am fairly proud of myself haven't done much else except from quite intense chats with both ds1 and ds2 so many things going on. Not bad, just their big life changes. So grateful for that.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
