Evening all
Ditty - totally understand your panic; been there myself although my DD2 who is at uni is slow to respond to messages and practically never answers her phone. She's also sometimes on her own in her uni house. Hope DS1 is ok
I've had a productive day. Did some of my PT job, went to tesc0, did an exercise class on Fb, watched some olympics, had nice messenger chats w sisters, brother and both DDs.
Been very spendy today. Bought a f!tb!t - saw on JL website that the one i like (& recommended by Witch) was on sale & i had 2 x vouchers, one from DD2's boyfr for my birthday and one from prolific for doing a survey so cost me £59.99. Have allocated a small amount of my self empl income for personal spends including reading glasses and f!tb!t so was planned expenditure. Just a small problem as my self empl invoice hasn't been paid yet so slight cash flow problem.... I can borrow from savings if necessary as a short term measure.
got 2 x c0sta reusable mugs off Fb free page for that festive occasion - keeping for DDs and will put a voucher inside and give at start of the last month of the year
Gratitudes - listening to Amy Winehouse concert on R2 while prepping packed lunch for tomorrow; DD2 having 5 days of shifts at her job & sending me money to put away for Masters; Fb exercise classes so can catch up

I am still here but not officially, just wanted to say that I hope your son is ok Ditty XXXditty1234 said:So broke down and spent £4 today on my friend on coffee after listening to her wonderful concert outside in a theatre garden. Very lush. But now I am very near panicking DS1 is living by himself in uni house he was supposed to clean and pack today as I'm about to retrieve him and his stuff tomorrow. I was going to maybe go out there this evening to go for a swim on the beach before going to his, but it's a bit late now.
I sent him a message around 12 and a few more, but no replies and usually he is Mr reply right away.
He is also epileptic and felt a bit funny and stressed yesterday. So now it looks like he has not been on FB since yesterday, and replied to anything. At what point do I go from annoyed to 120% panic. His brother is now contacting his (girl) friend to see if she knows. I could get in trouble for this, but I figure it's worth the risk. It will take me 2 hours to get over there!
I'm sure he's just gone to the beach or pub n paddle or something, hopefully, something jolly.
Grateful for lovely concert, but a hair worried right now.Nevertheless she persisted.6 -
Thanks Buffy, I am devastated, we had to get the landlords and ambulances and he's in a and e and they would not let me go along. So it will be a long night.Buffythedebtslayer said:

I am out of my mind, in his student house - without him, and just waiting to hear back.
Thanks for your support.

Hugs ditty. When DS2 collapsed in his student house, I was very glad that some of his housemates came back and found him and called the ambulance. They also took it in turns staying at the hospital overnight with him after I had to leave (I spent the first night in Manchester as I had missed any connecting buses when I got back to Piccadilly Gardens, no luck at Shude Hill (weekday so no night buses) and 5 minutes too late for the last train from Victoria. DS2 has always wanted me there as early as possible and to stay as late as possible whenever he's been in hospital but it must be dreadful, having to let them go off in the ambulance alone. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5

Yes it is horrendous, he could not even talk when he left. And it took 4 guys to get him down the stairs, they're doing all of the checking out now. I'm very lucky I have a car, it must have been horrible to spend the whole night on the train/station. Is he generally ok now? Yes I really wanted to go to the hospital just to support in particular as he cant talk - hope to god that comes back!mothernerd said:Hugs ditty. Ditty, I’ve just realised my post saying ‘not the worst’ came at very bad timing. I was referring to your NSD comment. I hope your DS has been in touch now.ditty1234 said:So broke down and spent £4 today on my friend on coffee after listening to her wonderful concert outside in a theatre garden. Very lush. I did notice that and it was very clearly at the NSD, I should maybe not post a worry like that, I am bitterly regretting not just leaving earlier.ldee2111 said:
