Evening all
NSD achieved which means i'm now at 8. Had a nice sleep but like f0xh0les i dreamt about an ex boyfr!!
Did some housework this morning then friend came over. We had a lovely chat and healthy lunch then spent over 3 hours in the garden, pulled up all the weeds (there were a lot!) and swept the garden, re-potted lettuce in the belfast sink (i've had this for about 5 years and it's just been sat in the garden filled with carp) . Wow such a transformation! actually looks like a nice place to sit out. Gave friend my old glass garden table, was tempted to keep it but i have a wooden table and bench and don't need 2 tables . also found I have blackberries growing in the garden
Gratitudes -lovely friend for getting stuck into the garden for 3 hours; DD2 having a long day at work but is focused on earning money for Masters (& got £6 tips); DD1 being able to have a lovely day with her bestie now DD out of isolation

A little tidying done, a lot of reading and resting (really starting to hurt today). Just done a little more digging. It's been overcast for most of the day but then the sun came through. Still no rain but it must happen sometime (that's why I did the digging - it would be better if it where done before the rain comes). Came in after the fourth bucket as I was starting to get dizzy/ falling again.
Grateful for

Dropped middle son at work, then went for a 5 mile walk along a different route. Spoke to the neighbours walking their dogs & further along, another lady I've not seen in months. After dinner I did LOTS of weeding, discovered some empty sacks, so filled 7 with more bonfire debris. Very hot by this point, stopped when my back was sore. Washed up after tea, then put a new zip in some trousers. Rewarded myself with some chocolate, Baptiste in the TV & some knitting.
Grateful for nice chats, a good walk, finding more empty sacks & my reward at the end of the day ☺️Use it up, wear it out

NSD No 12 yesterday.
I did manage a bit of a declutter. Lots of half used creams and lotions (which will never be used again), some quite pretty tops which I know I'm never going to wear (they are in a pile for the charity shop) and some rubbish from the cellar of doom (now in the bin). All this without Himself finding out. That's an achievement in itself.
One of my neighbours recently acquired a cat. It seems to have adopted Himself, It keeps wandering into the house and jumping on his knees. Cats seem to love him for some reason!!
Tesco delivery arriving shortly so I'd better go sort out the fridge so I can get all the salad stuff in.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -

Poor sleep - someone had a dog in their garden barking at silly o'clock this morning which woke me and then I took ages to get back off as my shoulder is really hurting and has been for a couple of months (looks to be shoulder 'impingement' as opposed to frozen shoulder) - and then the flipping dog was let back out into the garden and was barking again - grrrrr
Thankful for it being school holidays - later bedtimes and lazy starts to the day, for cooler (but dry) weather, for DS1 meeting up with uni friends this Summer post graduation (well, post results - graduation ceremonies all cancelled), for seeing some progress in the cleaning and clearing I've been doing, for a couple of small fb00k sales (money not the issue - went to DS2 as they were his things - just nice to have things gone to someone who wants them!)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £206 -
So broke down and spent £4 today on my friend on coffee after listening to her wonderful concert outside in a theatre garden. Very lush. But now I am very near panicking DS1 is living by himself in uni house he was supposed to clean and pack today as I'm about to retrieve him and his stuff tomorrow. I was going to maybe go out there this evening to go for a swim on the beach before going to his, but it's a bit late now.
I sent him a message around 12 and a few more, but no replies and usually he is Mr reply right away.
He is also epileptic and felt a bit funny and stressed yesterday. So now it looks like he has not been on FB since yesterday, and replied to anything. At what point do I go from annoyed to 120% panic. His brother is now contacting his (girl) friend to see if she knows. I could get in trouble for this, but I figure it's worth the risk. It will take me 2 hours to get over there!
I'm sure he's just gone to the beach or pub n paddle or something, hopefully, something jolly.
Grateful for lovely concert, but a hair worried right now.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Still on NSD 6. It was nearly 7 today but I forgot to order poppadoms in the weekly grocery shop. An Indian fakeaway isn’t complete without poppadoms so off to the shop I popped.Today OH, DS, and I did our usual garden tidy. Me on weeds, OH on grass, and DS on moss-ball pick up duty. I also did a little weeding of my neighbour’s drive/garden.During my rest from the sun, I did some of the online course. Now 70% complete. I am finishing this bloomin course once and for all!Tonight I’ve taken a random notion for a horror film. Don’t know what yet.Grateful today for a good chat about holidays with neighbour, OH making dinner, DS being a good sleeper.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6
