it really does depend on who answers the call, I had a lady today who was absolutely useless and had no idea what she was doing, called again and got someone decent but got the PAC code in the end anyway!0

My current retenstions deal was about to end in jan. rang today to what they can offer me. told them i DO NOT want a new phone. they obliged with a 18month deal as follows.
800min xnet mins
100 txts
all for £10pm.0 -
I am looking for a data stick for occasional usage... My orange deal is up on my phone in 5 months, do you think I am better off waiting and getting a renewal deal then for phone and stick?
Thanks

After coming to the end of my orange contract(£30 a month,500-100) which included a £10 a month loyalty deduction to make it £20 per month,i was told a new contract for 18 mnth would include a 10% discount,i aint no mathmatition but i know that =£18 per month. After the first bill(£27) i questioned why it was so high, only to be told you lost the £10 loyalty (which was never told to me at the time of an upgrade) so my new tarrif is £30 - 10% =£27 .Surely only a pudding would agree to this,so when i argued the case all they could offer me was a £5 per month reduction to now make it £22 per month. This aint acceptable to me and i said i wished to cancel the contract on the basis of breach of contract on there behalf..THEY SAID NO CAN DO! Any ideas? Thanks:mad:0

You're right but I was so shocked when he just said "let me get you your PAC code" rather than "Well how about phone y or plan x", I didn't stop him.
Strangely - I just had a very similar experience - and i have been with orange for two years! They just went straight to "here's your pac code." Um, soft sell i guess.....
Am now off to sign my soul over to O2 in order to get an iPhone.0 -

Got a result today sjb.
requested a disc copy of the conversation at the time of the upgrade,to see who was in the wrong.
They soon changed their tune and i ended up with 500-100 for £17 a month0 -
I have been offered one or two phones, both less spec than I had originally from them. I said I didn't really want a contract, but would consider 12 months if was an excellent deal. but they are only offering me an 18 month contract. I currently pay £35 per month. have 3 magic numbers and didnt really want to lose them, the best offer they have noted on their system is another 18 month contract for £15 less per month, but as I said the phone they are offering is crap and with things as they are i dont want to be tied into a contract for 18 months. I have been through retentions, got a snotty woman who just suggested if i wasnt happy she would send me out the unlocking code so i could go elsewhere............where am i going wrong everyone else seems to have great deals from orange!
