Orange Retention Offers

I dont see why it wouldn't. You are free to move to another provider and take your number with you even to PAYG. Once thats completed you could start a new Orange contract provided and port your number again. Obviously you will have a transition period but its definitely possible.0

it does work, remember the computer says retentions can spend X amount on retaining you - its the advisors job to make that X amount minimum they can
but some are great and give you all your X amount & a extra add on
if you tell retentions you seen this deal & are porting out to payg then back to Orange they know to give you the maximum X is cheaper than the costs to obtain you as a new customer on a new account on the same mobile numberSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I am totally baffled by all these deals.
But i rang up to downgrade my bills I'm trying to save money. They could only put it down one band. Can i push for another band down he did give me 100 mins extra free that i had lost on downgrading.

What most people seem to experience is that you need to phone more than once to get the best deal. Leave it a day or two and try again.0

Just finished my 18 month Racoon £35 contract. Retentions offered me the C905 (£65) on the Racoon 35 for £20/month (18 month contract). I declined this offer.
After changing my mind today, phoned up again but the best they could do this time was £65 for the phone, and £20 for the first 9 months, then £25 for the last 9 months.
They told me that the offers last for 1 day, and that was the best offer they could do. Do they think i'm desperate now? Not sure whether I should phone back and ask for my PAC code, which might stimulate them to give me a better offer, or just wait and see if they call me back closer to the end of my 30 day's notice?0 -
interesting to read people's experiences particularly with reference to those who say it's better to wait until your contract is nearly up because perhaps the problem I'm experiencing.
Basically I've been with Orange for about 4 years now after a very bad experience with T-Mobile got me to jump ship. My contract is up on Dec 14th (so I have a few days to give notice if I want out) so I thought I'd phone and see what the situation was.
Noone has tried to offer me any change to my contract (and I'm quite happy with the 600xnet mins and unlimited texts that I get thru Dolphin 35) perhaps because I've been asking about phones.
I want the HTC Touch HD. New, shiny, expensive - to me, an existing customer £299.99.
To a new customer on the Orange website with the Dolphin 35 package it's 79.99. In phones4u, on the same contract it's free.
The problem it appears is that although I'm on Dolphin 35 they don't look at me as though I am because of the loyalty discount they apply.
So, I get 10 pounds off my contract (although my average spend in the last year is £31) which then makes them look at me as though I'm not on Dolphin 35. This seems a bit fishy to me - they're treating me as though I'm on a lower contract despite the fact my contract and my account say Dolphin 35.
It makes more sense for me to leave, go to Phones 4 u and pay £10 a month extra for 18 months (£180) than stay on my cheaper contract and pay £300.
Had a long chat with a guy in their mobile broadband department (wanted to see what other benefits might exist to persuade me against leaving) who then had a chat to upgrades himself who came back and said that i was ranking too low on their system and that I was pretty much being done over. He was as bemused as I was.
Punished for loyalty! Absolutely ridiculous, and part of me can't help but feel that Orange's treatment of me as a 'lower-class' customer breaches our contract in some way?
My current (expired) contract I got an N95 for free the week it came out and £5 loyalty bonus on a 600/600 for £30/month.
This year asked for htc touch hd, and they want £210. They've offered me the same 600/600 for £20 and some crap phone. My account's riddled with orange screw ups too; bundles added without my consent, 3 incorrect bills and 7 months to right, plus other things. I thought this would be cake walk....evidently not.

knowing orange at present, I suspect the fact she gave you such a good deal on retentions is why she's not there now...0 -
Was looking to get a Blackberry Bold for the Push Email and a change from my existing Windows Mobile.
Orange Retentions offered me the Blackberry Bold for £150, £25 per month.. 500 Xnetwork mins. 100 text.Unlimited landline Calls, Unlimited Blackberry Internet.
In the end went for the Blackberry Curve Free, 500 Xnetwork mins. 100 text. Unlimited landline Calls ,£40 credit. Unlimited Blackberry Internet, normally £5 per month.
All in for £20 per month.
This was over a week and 4 seprate calls.
I was on Dolphin 35 (£35PM) and free Nokia N95 with (£10) Loyalty Discount 18 months previously.0
