^not bad
and youve had bills and everything confirming offer
nice to see orange doing some good!
ps. n95 is £325Yes Your Dukeiness0 -
I rang Orange on Monday to request an upgrade (just finished 18 month contract on £30/month, rarely go over the £30 so not a heavy user) and they couldn't do anything for me to keep my business. I said I wanted either the LG Viewty or SE k850 for free but they offered me the LG for £199 or the SE for £249!
They put me thru to retentions who couldn't do any better than £100 for the LG one which really suprised me as an 18 month contract at £30 a month is worth £540 to them, much more than the phone cost. Maybe its because I currently get my broadband free with my phone contract and they don't want me to have that? They have sent me PAC code without putting up any fight at all.
Don't know if they will be calling me again but it may be too late as I am planning on going to T-mobile who can give me a similar plan for £20 a month (albeit I have to pay £100 for the phone, but saving a tenner each month on my bill pays for that in under a year).
A bit disappointed really as I have never had any issues with Orange so didn't really want to leave. Still, the people I spoke to were polite and friendly so I'm not leaving with a bad taste in my mouth or anything...0 -

I am in same boat as you on same contract, am due for upgrade in jan so i won't hold my breath. The only thing bugging me is i like the free broadband that i get at mo and if i change providers i will then have to pay the 17.99 a month for it and the cost of another contract.

I am due to end 18mth contract (canary 30) end of Jan. Although I tend to be within monthly limits, I've had several large bills >£100 due to international calls and a few v busy months so I would class myself as a good customer to Orange. I would like to get the HTC TyTNII, but as this is not one of the more popular phones available on special deals from major mobile retailers, I'm not sure how much bargaining power I have with Orange. They currently have this for £89.99 with £35+ contracts (similar to O2 for the O2 Stellar). Should I wait until nearer end of contract or try my luck with them now.0

^depends how recently your big bills were, they only consider last 6m i believe,
unlikely to be free but may get it for reduced think the lowest price on upgrade is £50
you wont have much pull with retentions for them to sort you out a deal if your not at the end of your contractYes Your Dukeiness0 -
orange customers get 5% off at upgrade time per contract term 12/18/24, now " our customers come first " means you can get any deal " DIRECT " on website/orange shops matched with the 5% discount, so call Orange back and demand it ! some good deals just now SE W990i brand new release with 180 credit to your bill thus 25.00 per month, your 5% off comes off the 35.00 monthly fee before the 10.00 a month credit
read my signature, in 18 months I get 15% discount on whatever deals are going on DirectSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Claire if you upgrade you keep your broadband deal as is, I upgraded Aug and kept my £5 unlimited deal, and im discounted from 35.00 a month to 15.00 but its the ( insert animal )30 plans & above that stipulate free/£5 BB deals - NOT the price you pay for mobile your plan
LittleJ - follow above post
DPW - sounds like as R says your last 6 months have been good bills for them, should bag it for nearly free if your bills have been good to Orange, saying that depends who you get at retentions - call billing and ask them for disconnections, dont use the 150 menu system as usually it puts you through to sales whom offer worse deals than NEW customers
if they say no to you politely final offer them - " I'll stay if I go upto a 35 month plan & have tyTn free, ive spent alot on roaming this year " which will get Orange 90.00 and you extra mins over 18 next months so you'd break free on the 90.00 if you stay on Canary30, but youll be on 35 with alot more& dont forget you automatically qualify 5% upgrade off 35 a month plan
Reehsetin - the 2 recent deals have got are 10% off porting from payg to contract and 180 credit - still avil on website
O have come good for me of latefree calls between us all aswell LOL
Remember though EVERYONE - Orange buy handsets in in bulk at product release so what price we can obtain 5 months after launch is not what Orange/Voda etc bought them in for ! Use this knowledge to your advantageSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

only one i know of is loyalty discount which is 10% off the first year then 5% off for each year after in which case they may be able to get 10% if they dont already have the discount, also it is only available to customers in the last 3 months of their contract usuallyReehsetin - the 2 recent deals have got are 10% off porting from payg to contract and 180 credit - still avil on websiteYes Your Dukeiness0
