Orange Retention Offers

I should have posted in this thread yesterday. I called to disconnect, and got offered a decent deal, but it was a no go because they wanted to charge me £300 for N96. Basically, I was being offered their £45 tariff for £30. Pretty good deal, but I wanted the N96 at a decent price or thrown in free - especially after having a browsing bundle being put on my account and then going through a bad experience with their customer service dept about this. I requested my PAC (or is it PUK?) code.
Has anyone had any experience of Orange contacting them (after requesting this code) to offer a deal? This happened with my friend on 3. I've been a customer for nearly 4 years and spent crazy amounts in my first year, followed by £35/month contracts for the last few. Plus, my bills have always had other charges on top. I always found them to be great till my recent experience with this browsing bundle, but want to stay on the network because of the lack of network problems I've had (bad experiences with O2!).0 -
Hi
Ive had same experience with Orange - just had a fiver a month added for data usage etc. Basically lookin to disconnect...currently paying £40 a month x 2 contracts and coming to the end of an 18 month. Will see what they offer. I want an N96 free plus a better deal on the contract - have been a good spender for 7-8 years with them
Will let you know what happens0 -
I've been nagging orange for 2 months over the omna and had all the excuses you can imagine thrown at me.
I'm presently on a 25 pound a month contract (100 mins 300 texts  ) but always go over the my free mins)
Retentions have offered me, £40 (1200 any network mins 3000 landline mins 500 texts and inlimited browsing and the omnia for £30 pounds)
Now I just have to wait to see if they ever get one in to upgrade me, they did promise though0 -
Oh and my contract doesnt run out for over a month so i may hold out and see if i can get a cheaper monthly price.0

orange CS is rubbish, even the india call centre from 3 is better, at least they try to be polite, orange sometimes cannot be bothered.
can't wait to leave this rubbish company charged me over £100 on first bil and i had not used it that much. N95 came faulty 4 x until i gave up.
18 months with orange is like a prison sentence.
RANT OVER!!:mad:save me money not time0 -
Is there a difference between asking for 30 days notice and being given PAC code by Orange Cust. services?
I know on '3' these two are very different.
Any advice would help.0 -

If you give 30 days notice, you are asking for your account to be closed, when this happens you will not be able to port your number.
If you ask for your PAC, you can then give this to another mobile operator and if they use it within 30 days, your number will be ported over to them.
Therefore do one or the other, not both. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
just got an upgrade:
£199 for a nokia n95
£20 a month
1000 minutes
unlimited texts
unlimited mobile web access
free 8mb broadband
was coming from spending £30 a month and rarely going over the inclusive minutes, so think this is a pretty good deal, if i didnt want the nice new flashy phone could have taken a more basic model for free with same deal... as well as magic numbers/orange wednesdays etc...
very impressed with orange (took 3 different calls to get this deal though!)0 -
199 for the N95 seems a lot, sure it's not the N96?0

anyone managed to get the omnia out of them? the cs people seem to think they are faulty and being withdrawn, but that could be an excuse...0
