Orange Retention Offers

Hello all.

its been of great interest in reading this thread so thanks for everyone who have added details of the offers they have been given.

I have just finished an 18month contract for a w810i on 500mins 500 txt plan with orange.

I have just finished contacting retentions whom offered:

Samsung i900 Omnia (when stock arrives)
£25pm (18months)
includes internet access
600mins + unlim texts.

I felt that was a really good deal compared to the £40 i am paying currently so really pleased with that.

Just hope i dont have to wait too long for fresh stock as the 16gb Omnia is a cracking lil phone.

If there are problems or anything else then I will update here but Im really pleased.

I would get the SIM and list it as new; box only opened to retreive SIM card and test to see if the phone is working.

I was on ORANGE payg for 3+ years. Only topped up £10 per month.

Now I need to use texting more, I called to ask about the Dolphin 15 with LG venus.

I was concerned about the 24 month contract length, but was surprised to

be offered the Dolphin 25 ( 18 month contract 200mins and unlimited texts ( 3000 max ? ))

for £13 per month. Operator also told me the venus was nearly discontinued,

and would I prefer the LG kf750 secret instead.

The monthly cost broke down as : £25 standard Dolphin 25 fee , minus £5 on line discount ,

minus £5 retention discount minus £2 for what I don't know.

oh and a free payg sim for my k800i, since I was keeping my number on the contract phone.

GF rang the other day; she was on £30 p/m for 300mins and 300 texts. Got it down to:

300 mins
130 texts
unlimited landline calls
Free Motorola V8 (what she wanted)
18 month contract for £10 p/m

All in the 1st call within 5mins. She is very happy and so am I that we cut the monthly bill by so much!

all for the pricely sum of £20 a month
(£10 off Loyalty bonus plus £5 off Internet Special price)
I think i only got the internet money off cause i origianlly bought it off of the net.

After intense discussions and 7 retention execs or whatever they are called...
I managed to get the following:

400 anytime minutes
unlimited texts
250MB anytime mobile browsing
AND a free upgrade to HTC Diamond

for £10 a month on an 18 month contract.

Interestingly, three different members of orange told me they have been sent emails advising them not give out five types of mobiles as free upgrades
and the first 6 told me there was absolutely no way I could have the the HTC for any sort of discount, I would have to pay £120 pounds or get a £50 a month contract....

The email said there were five phones they couldn't give out....
HTC Diamond
Samsung Omnia
and three others (not sure which but one was a nokia and one was a sony ericsson - sorry!)

Maybe because of the credit crunch???

For £10 per month. Very happy with that as I used to pay £30. I am out of contract though. :j

Well, blow me...

Just phoned Orange retentions and they basically couldn't give me my PAC code fast enough!

Been out of contract since April 07 (!!!), wanted the Omnia and a good deal on a talk plan. The lady said "can't do anything for you, do you want your PAC code?"

I am quite shocked, been with Orange for years...what now? leave or call back? wait until they call me?
